Command history

OurJud
How much store, as a player, do you put in being able to see your previous commands?

Quest has an option to turn this off, and I really like how clean it keeps things, but I don't want to do so if players find having a record of past commands useful.

The Pixie
I use it to save typing; I can remember what did.

OurJud
What do you mean when you say you use it to save typing?

The Pixie
Wait, are we talking about different things? I mean you can scroll back though previous commands using the up arrow key.

OurJud
Oh, I see. Yes, different things.

I simply mean the option which allows the author to turn off the players' commands. So rather than the usual:

You are in the kitchen. You can go north.
>n

You are in the living room. You can go east.
>e

You are...

It would look like:

You are in the kitchen. You can go north.

You are in the living room. You can go east.

You are...

It just prevent the players' previous commands from showing on the screen.
