Can anyone tell me any hardware/software I could get for drawing simple illustrations (maybe even simple still-frame animations) that I could incorporate into my TAs? I want something like you can find in this game: http://versificator.net/portcullis/
I want to draw with a pen/stylus, not a dumb mouse.
And, I assume incorporating that into Quest wouldn't be too awfully difficult?

If you don't want anything expensive, you can always go for GIMP or deviantart Muro. There's also Photoshop, Paint Tool Sai and others... but some can cost a fair amount money.
Incorporating Images into quest isn't too difficult, depending where and how you want to put them in. JPEG files would most likely be your best option, and sizing will have to be up to you.
