Big Milestone, Hooray.

Dr.Froth
Hey everyone,

I just thought I'd let you all know (since no one other than quest users will give a crap) that I finished the bulk of my game. I now have completed the entire main story, with the all the puzzles, differant solutions, and multiple endings. It plays through great and bug free (and it only took 10 months of hard work to make.)

All I have to do now is put in all the filler (look at the carpet, eat the paint off the wall, etc) that makes these games fun and I will be ready for testing and release. Hopefully in a couple more months I'll be finally finished (though I have yet to name the darn thing).

My goal is to have it done in one year, so I am going to keep at it. I hope all of your projects are coming along just as well.

Happy Holidays,
Dr. Froth

Have you tested it under Geas?

Dr.Froth
What is Geas?

Freak
Geas is an open clone of the Quest runner I've been working on.

where would i be able to obtain this? When I used this site full time a couple of years ago i know someone was working on this, but I never saw it

My program is unrelated to the project you heard of.

Check out http://mirror.ifarchive.org/

It'll be in unprocessed/ or programming/quest/

Current version is 0.4, but I'm doing a heavy rewrite at present.

I found it through another topic, and downloaded the windows version. Unzippped it and asked for some unknown dll.
I know that you did however supply one dll. Is that supposed to be put anywhere special, or just in the same directory as the program?

You'll need to grab gtkmm from
http://www.pcpm.ucl.ac.be/~gustin/win32 ... gtkmm.html (Runtime environment)

I'm sorry I can't help that much; I'm not that familiar with Windows programming.

007bond
oh ok, thanks. I'll do it right away coz I'm bored
