The Graveyard Shift

Heya! So...You're the new night guard at the new factory, huh?

Yeah? I thought so.

So...as you know, we manafacture animatronic machines for entertainment facilities around the states.

And it's your job to keep an eye on things, lots of danger, you know? Pesky robbers.

Rumor had it was thay the company hired them to watch the animatronics, but that's silly.

On to business. So, you see your east and west hall? Yeah. Check on those with your flashlight once in a while, you know, robbers, blah blah blah...

You can also shut them tightly in case of an emergency. Just press the shut button. Careful though, it only lasts a minute or so.

You can check your cameras any time you need, just pull up your monitors and select your room of desire.

Legal issues, now. I know it's boring, but you know, they'd fire me...so...

Our company is not responsible for loss of property and or death due to missue of equipment. Oh, and your required by law to work at least a week before quitting your job.

Well, that's about it. Have a goodnight.

So what's the game play mechanic? Are you mixing text adventure with graphical interface? Presumably you'll be using time based events? Is there a degree of randomness? Are you looking to emulate th jump scares of FNAF? Or is it more about the atmosphere?

It's more of an intense struggle to keep to the next turn of the night, so atmosphere mostly.

The animatronics will move throughout the night towards your office, although there is another wrinkle I'm planning on.

The panic button is a gameplay mechanic as it can only be used on a limited basis.

That's all I'm going to spoil for now. Look for a demo around the 20th of November.
