I think The Unknown might be referring to his personal space rather than Ryori when he says "territory". Some people are more protective than others of their personal space, and some people have a larger personal space than others.

I think it's only going to be fair if everyone starts respecting each other's boundaries. The Unknown has a particular protectiveness to his relationship with Ryori, and davidw has a particular protectiveness to his own self-importance. Other members have their own limits as to what they will accept.

This is another reason why I believe that david should be confined to an area where he really will be the centre of attention, and actually have the importance he craves. That way, I think everyone will be a lot happier, and I include david in that.

Plus, there is no personal space on the web... Well, unless you count your PC, or your web-site personal space.

But I'm trying to think that way.. And wonder if he talks like this around Ryori, and what she thinks of it all.

I disagree that there is no personal space on the internet. For example, if someone came onto a forum and started making smutty comments abot your mother, would that be okay with you? I doubt it if you have any feelings at all.

What I'm saying is that although forums exist on the internet, they are a medium by which individuals communicate on a personal level, particularly in the "chat" area, where the topics are not usually to do with games.

It is easily possible to offend somebody in a forum, and each individual has their own benchmark as to what will do that. With davidw, a challenge to his status is what brings him out fighting. With The Unknown it's the same thing, except his status is to do with his devotion to Ryori. Whilst he has used some colourful terms to announce it, at least he has made himself clear about where his limits are, something which most people never really do.

If you want to get into semantics, it could be said that The Unknown and Ryori's relationship IS their "property". The Unknown's feelings for, and exclusivity with Ryori are certainly "his".

Whilst any boyfriend of mine who called me his property could expect a swift kick in the goolies, I think the best person to judge The Unknown's attitude to Ryori is Ryori.

My unbelieveable increadible game is about a serial killer. One must find clues and elude the serial killer to survive.. So though research I tought what a wierd picture.. and would make a funky avatar.
