In the process of planning out a text-based rpg roguelike/lite

The idea is the game will have a prestige store that currency is earned for through each life which you die in and save the results. This unlocks various options from skills to consumables, to realms(From which current locations, enemies, skills, perks, artifacts, etc come from) Is this the best choice of an engine for me to use for such a game?
