Error with new version?

It's been a year since I've opened Quest. I got a new computer in that time. Just downloaded Quest onto the new computer and tried to load and play the game I had been working on. It freezes the program and gives me the following errors:

Error launching game: Could not load file or assembly 'CefSharp.Core.dll' or one of its dependencies. The specified module could not be found.

Error launching game: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I don't know if it's a bug in my actual program that I never fixed last year, or a problem with updating the software or changing computers. But it's been a long time and I don't really remember anything about the program or even the coding language, much less what I was working on last time I was working on it, or where the problem might be, or how to fix it. Can anyone help me figure out what these errors mean and how to resolve them?

It sounds like you need to download the installation file again, uninstall what you've got, then install from the new download.

CefSharp has to do with the embedded Chromium browser. If you're missing that, there was probably a problem with the download.

Thank you. Yes it must have been a problem with the install. I tried closing all my other programs before reinstalling, and it worked this time. Thanks again.

No problem.

I'm glad it worked!
