Even though he worded it wrong.... It reall doesn't make sense to list the alias, but rather the room name. In many games every room in "the dark forest" has the alias, "The Dark Forest". It's pretty counter productive when you think about it. It all comes down to notes, OR, going through the trouble of looking at whatever room. If you can't remember what room is what, shouldn't name them all grid:000xx. Or atleast if you are actually using a grid diagram to keep track....

Make a notepad with something similar to that on it, and name the rooms
grid:city2E, then you could look and say hey, I'm working on room 2E of the city area and need to make an exit. The other rooms in the compass directions are 1D, 1E, 1F, 2D, 2F, 3D, 3E, and 3F. If none of those sounds familiar, it's probably not mapped out properly in your head or you haven't made the room yet.
It all comes down to pen and paper(or the digital form therein). Besides if you take the time to plan it all out, the quality and planning will show.
