surfaces

darkgoddessnight
Would it be possible to get a surface type like madbrit did with containers? Instead of put in or look in, use put on and look on? It doesn't make much sense to look in the bar. Instead look on the bar and 'On the bar you see a mug of beer.'

Alex
I'm planning to implement containers in Quest 4.0, and this could easily be adapted to support surfaces as well, so I'll add this to the "to do" list.

I'm planning to make Beta 1 available shortly (in the next week or so) and containers have not yet been implemented, but I'm planning to implement them for Beta 2.

I am the best Beta Tester, remember that Alex :P

I want to beta test too!!

Yay! I just bought Quest and I hope to make some cool games with it. I love how these forums seem so active and Alex is really into what people want from the game. I hope to get the beta too and try it, and maybe add my own ideas into this forum in case other people think they're a good idea too.

GameBoy
You bought Quest?

Wow, not heard that one in a long long time.

Alex
Plenty of people do...

I know, i've just never heard anybody actually say they have, apart from my friend who bought it on CD years and years ago. The brings me to a question. Is the CD properly produced, or just copied CDs?

Alex
I think the CD is a CDR which is burned on demand by RegNow. It doubt it looks particularly exciting, although I've not actually seen one - I've been meaning to upload artwork for it for a while.

:D I bought Quest, and I am glad I did so. I have enjoyed (and I'm still enjoying) making my game. Since I have used this software almost everyday since March, the least I could do is send some cash Alex's way. Why in the world would he care to go to the trouble to create version 4 (or 5 or 6 or so on) if there was never a return on his effort. I think all of you that have been fooling around with this program for more than a few months should think about buying it... supporting the creation of this product will only fuel the fires of its improvement and support.

Yes, buy Quest! It's reasonably priced and well worth it.

Well the problem I usually have, is having free time to use it, then not having free time for about 6 months or more. Maybe one day :)
