Save To File

I was wondering with the new version, is it possible to save information to a file that can be recalled later? For example:

If you have a persistant world and the player registers and can log back in with the same information and his character was saved previously? This would include settings and inventory?

I presume this is in QuestNet Server games? This is not currently built-in, although there are work-arounds - e.g. using the player disconnect script to move the player's objects to a particular room, set variables etc.
