It does nothing, but it holds rooms that are geographically related, and has an attribute that is some text, that the user can put comments into.

Once you have a couple of dozen rooms, it becomes a pain in the neck sorting through them for the right one. If they were grouped by region, I could collapse the ones I am not working on.

You can pretty much do this already - all rooms are objects, and an object can contain a hierarchy of nested objects, so you could put your rooms into dummy objects if you like.
