Hi, I'm Steven and I'm new to quest, so I'm sorry if this is a noob question.

So when I'm writing in the room description under the 'text' option I get all the messages saying what's in the room and the various exits, however if I choose 'script' and make an if command so that when an object sets a certain flag a different message is displayed the messages telling me where the exits are and what's in the room don't appear; only the room description shows. The if function is working perfectly however, so I know it isn't that I set out the script wrong.

Anyway, it's been driving me up the wall for the last half hour, so any help would be very much appreciated!

I believe this is a known issue and will be fixed in a future update.
