I've been playing adventures on quest for a while now and I've noticed that just about everyone has a little "avatar" when you click on there username. Even though it's just a square with a blocky pattern how do you get one?

Click on the 'User Control Panel' link at the top of the forum page, then chose profile and lastly 'Edit Avatar'.

Dude thank you so much! Now all I have to do is choose what my avatars going to be!

That's the hard part.
