Getting source code from quest files

Seikari
My HD recently crashe, and I lost a lot of my aslx files. I published some of my IF's for my friend to test. He wtill has the quest filee. Is it possible to get the source code from the quest files?

Now let's see if I learned anything from Jay...

If you download the .quest file and rename it .zip (RENAME not actually send to .zip), you should be able to open the file and get to the .aslx file. Someone please correct if I'm wrong.

It worked. I would never have guessed it was archived. Thank You.

It seems I spoke too soon. It shows the objects and room names, but none of the descriptions.

Hm. Did your friend have the most recent Quest file? If so, I'm at a loss here. Hopefully someone else can help you.

So just to be keep here, you renamed the .quest file to .zip, then dragged the .aslx file out of that into an ordinary folder, and then double-clicked that. It should have opened up with Quest, but you would find dozens of commands, verbs, functions, etc. You should have also found your objects and rooms though, and they should have had descriptions.
