I'm in the process of getting to grips with creating games on QuestNet and wonder if anyone else has an active server/game running? I seem to be having basic problems getting the server accessed through my firewall (MacAfee and Linksys). It's possible to link to lorimernet.game-host.org:4444 which gives you a link page to the game but from there it seems to be unavailable... I can join a game localhost ... I think if/when I ever get this working I'm going to be a master at firewall protocols and networking!!

Are you running Windows XP SP2? Do you have other firewall software installed? Do you have a router?

You seem to have configured port 4444 properly for your web server, so check your various settings to see that port 10001 is set up the same way.

after a few tweaks to the router and checking dyndns.org settings got the server up and running with the demo game arena. Now I know it's workable I can start on my game concept... thanks for your reply - nice to know the forum is active...
