Me and my friend are currently working on a text version of the huge multiplayer game runescape.Im goona get quest rpo for the 30 user server so when its done,i invite you all to play it.

I’ve tried Runescape once though I didn’t like it too much... but a text version of it would be SO COOL. Good luck making it!

ive encoutered a problem.im running the game on my own server(QUESTlite) and it was all going fine untill i added some var's.insted of saying: "you are on the main land" when the game starts,it says:

you are in xn.

there is ! and ! and frank here.

can any tell me how to fix this?

yeah until i found out you couldn't go any further unless you paid. fuck that

you dont have to pay to play.You can pay for upgraded things like the best sword sheild etc.

dont worry,when my version comes out,it will be free.

The ! mean the variables are empty. They may be defined but have no contents.

i found the problem.I tried to use typelib with it.

I'm having alot of trouble with this game at the moment,so if anyone would like to become a partner in the development of Runescape,please let me know.

im not gunna play a Quest game, nor am i even going to try and make one anymore. life is now 100%, time is now 0%. That's why i hardly even post, and i was the top poster on both forums.

was that a long time ago? runescapes been redone and looks really cool now (you can still play 'RS classic' though), my game TBC is atm very similar to runescape, and if the offer is still their, i would join you, in making your runescape game.

i would say yes but im taking some time out of quest to do some visual basic.

I signed up yesterday at my library where we get hour-long sessions. I started halfway through that session, and spent 20 mins playing the damn tutorial. So I only got like 5 minutes playing the actual game. It looks fun, but I just don't know where to start!

i'm in the middle of making a proper manual for the game. if you click on the world map at the top, check for lumbridge (where you start), al'kharid (in the dsert) and varrock (the really big one). if you follow the map to go north then east then south to al'kharid, find the silk trader and buy some. then go to varrock and sell them in the general store. it gets repeatative but gets you money for nothing (even with no skills).

next you should work on trade skills. mining is pretty good, go west out of varrock and travel pass the barb village then go north-west. go into the mountain to the dwarven miines, mine what ever you can (copper and tin to start) and then leave and go south-west in to falador. there is a furnace there where you can turn ores to bars, then go back to varrock and find an anvil, you'll need a hammer as well. turn the bars into stuff and sell them in the general store or sword shop etc.

sorry thats at lot to read but you'll be making money pretty quickly like this. hopefully my manual won't be long

Its got really bad graphics (2d sprites) but its the way i like it (sort of like snes,which is probably the best console nintendoo ever made, though many people have said no,but anyway).

Skills are the same a rune (sort of) but the whole game is just better.
The comunity is smaller so everyone knows everyone.The game is constantly improving and its just overly better.

go to al'kharid, as long as you don't click on the scorp's by accident you're fine.
