every so often a file appears with the same name as my game file, it has the extention: QLF, anyone know why that file was created?...it only occures sometimes.

Nevermind i think i know what it is now, it's user registration file for Multiplayer games.

No, QLF stands for Quest Language File. Ask Alex to elaborate more on it

oh ok, but i think it's related to user registrations but not sure, i say this because after deleting it all my user registrations were gone.

Yes it simply stores the usernames and passwords for that particular game.

If you open it up in Notepad you'll see the format is quite simple - one line per user in the form

username; password
