Nice to see new faces though. I just hope they're friendlier with you hehe.
By 'that program' I take it you are asking what I was refering to when I said I had some programming experience in my past.
No. I saw your thread on SUDS when I was becomming aquainted with these forums, and from the sounds of it, I'm happy to say that I never saw or use it.
I was refering to just general programming experience in my past. BASIC, COBOL, a little FORTRAN (only learned it in school, never actually used it), several mainframe Command Line languages, DBase III scripting language and the like. The point I wanted to convey, is that I do have some programming theory knowledge and am not starting from ground zero. It HAS been a number of years though since I did any serious programming, so it will take me a little while to get back in the swing of things.
Also, on another note: I re-downloaded the quest235.exe and ran it again just to be sure I didn't do something silly. Sure enough, it includes the TypeLib readme, .pdf, and .asl files... but not the .qlb file itself. So the .exe package should probably be rebuilt. Unless TypeLib is not supposed to be in the basic package and only in the Pro. (By the way, I will be buying the upgrade with in the next day or so)
Either way, if the TypeLib is
not supposed to be included in the basic package the perhaps removing the other TypeLib files and replacing them with an propmotional type file would be better. That would give folks an additional incentive to buy the Pro version.
If TypeLib
is supposed to be included in the basic package then the .exe needs to be updated. So either way it needs to be modified.
Oh by the way... if you haven't figured it out yet, I can be a bit long winded.
p.s. Yeah Zork I, II, and III, HHGTTG, Leather Goddess of Phobos, you name it.
