Heya Questers!

I want my game to appear on my own website. I'm very new to the idea of this, but is there some way to turn my game into my 'own'? What does the Quest engine make? Is it HTML? I've seen and downloaded the Quest JS Master but I can't get it to work, and I'm pretty confused.

I know little about software, but I'm looking to commercially produce a text adventure, and right now my options are trying to rig RPG Maker MV into a text adventure format, building it from scratch somehow, or finding some other alternative.

Anyone got any advice? It'd be really appreciated!

The only way to do this with Quest is to do as I do.

I set up a tumblr site (you can use your own site/blog/whatever) then I hosted my game here (the only place you can host Quest games) then linked directly to the game.

If you launch your game and use the URL to make the link on your website (rather than the link to its page on Quest), clicking that link will launch the game in the browser and give the appearance it's being launched from your own website.

Of course the URL will expose it as a Quest game, but I don't think the majority of people would notice that. As for offering a download, I don't know if you can get the direct link for that too, so that the download dialogue pops up in your site, but I just link back to the Quest page.

As soon as he knows. We'll know.

An alternative is getting the downloadable version, hosting that from a download site like Mega, 4Shared etc and giving people the means to download it.
