Help with exits!!

Ok, so my problem probably has a perfectly simple answer, but here's the deal.

So, I made an exit into another room, and made one on the way back, but when you try to come back through, it won't let you. I double, even triple checked that the exits were leading to the right rooms/directions and everything seemed ok, but it's still not working. Am I missing something?

Not working in what way? You cannot see the exit, or it gives a message?

Check the return exit is visible and not scenery and is not set to run a script (which are all defaults, but you could have changed by accident).

Ya I agree with Pixie make you sure you did not set the exit "invisible" by scenery, and another thing you may or may not have changed is locking it. You could've done that but I don't think so.

What does it say?
The game's response will tell us if it can't find the exit, or the exit is locked, or there's some other problem.

The game says "you can't go there" when I try to turn back. I double checked that it's not locked or scenery and everything's alright.

Did you change the alias of the exit under the exit tab?
For instance, on my ship I use north and south to create the exits. After I do that under the alias name (which is a dropdown that you can also type in) I change north to forward and south to aft.
If I try to go north or south it will tell me "You can't go there." (since it doesn't exist).
However if I type forward or aft, that will work since I changed it.

Also, check to make sure the exits look only attribute is set to false.

Can you provide a link to the game so that we can take a look at it? Or copy the code for the exit in full code view and paste it here between two ``` lines?

Agreed

Do this.

``````Game text here.````````
But only three. and add enters.
(I actually added a ton of '`'. Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!)
