I'm making a text adventure. I want to make it so that, at any point in time, the player can type something like "Show walkthrough" and can look at a walkthrough of the game.

I have a VERY basic understanding of coding (like, what you learn in high school computer science class) but that's it. Like, I understand the ifs and the thens and the brackets. I don't understand expressions and variables and syntax. Therefore, I'm not really understanding what other forums of the same topic are saying. Can someone please explain it to me in the most basic, borderline condescending way possible? Thank you so much.
