I was given a fully written, but still very buggy game by a friend while I was in a high school writing class. My problem is that I can't complete the game due to bugs, but I want to read the full story now (this is several years later). I looked through the game on the HTML developer tools but couldn't find where the text was stored, and I was hoping that someone on this forum would be able to help me out.

If this is a ".quest file", you can unzip it to reveal the individual files. Then use a text editor (Notepad ++ is free and recommended) to open up the main game file/library files.

You need to download the quest program yourself. Open the game with it, and on the first tab/ button, click "open for editing."
