It is buried deep within Sadun's Silver Mine, which has been cut off from the world by a mysterious collapse years ago. There are rumors about goblins inside of it.

You come to a fork in the road. Three paths lie ahead of you, which do you choose?

[[Go Right->Right]]You start to see rubble and the path is cut off. A cave-in? The debris is too large to dig by hand, you'll need a tool.

You're passing through thick webs, hearing chattering in the distance... spiders. Spiders the size of mountain boars. How do you proceed?
[[Charge with your axe.]]
[[Scare spiders with torch.]]You'll need both hands for this foul business. Your axe raised high, you charge at the spider in the center of the room. He is not alone. Two more come from your side and one from above. The sharp sting of their bite is very painful but only until the paralysis sets in. Helpless, you are covered in the spider's web.
[[You Died.]]The bright flames from the fire brings shrieks from the eight-legged fiends, sending them scattering into the cracks and crevices of the cavern. A body lies before you, dead and half covered in sticky webs. You search the body, looking for any clues. You find a small rolled parchment. It's a contract... from Sadun! This hapless man was sent here just like you were. Let's hope you don't suffer the same fate.

[[Continue.->It's a dwarf]]The path leads to a larger room. It is filled with broken crates, barrels, and straw across the ground. An old storage room, perhaps? Maybe there is something hidden in the debris. Maybe you should take this moment to rest.

[[Go right.]]You recognize that smell... goblin. In this room of junk and bones, you see a crooked form slumped in a pile of old clothes and straw. You approach quietly; he doesn't seem to notice. You hear heavy breathing - he must be asleep. The fool...

[[Right->Straight]]Moving in slowly, bones crack under your feet. The goblins use them for this very purpose. The crunching bones alert him to your presence. Before you can close the gap, a bolt from a hand-held crossbow plunges into your neck. You go white and fall to your knees. The goblin's hideous smile is the last thing you see.
[[You Died.]]Not giving him a chance to react, you leap forward, bringing your axe down on the sleeping goblin. Your precision cleaves the goblin in two. There appears to be no others.

A pouch on the goblin contains a small silver key. This must be needed for something.
[[Go back.->Go right.]]At the end of a long corridor is a single chest. It looks very tempting, but it must be protected somehow. The room has no sign of traps, however. You approach the chest.Double-click this passage to edit it.

[[Use key.]]You come to a small chamber. Two tunnels leading in opposite directions. Which do you take?

[[Right->LastRight]]The room may not have been trapped but the chest was. A vial of noxious acid explodes, sending globs of caustic liquid in all directions. You are covered and in excruciating pain. The acid eats its way through your armor, clothes, flesh, and bones until there is nothing left.
[[You Died.]] The key slides in easily. Upon opening the chest, you see that it was trapped and would have been triggered without the key.
[[Look inside of it.]]Carefully you retrieve the contents, most valuable being half of a Ward Scroll.
[[Check the other half scroll.]]The two halves of the scroll magically fuse together, forming the complete scroll and making it a castable spell.
[[Go back->Go right.]] The smell of decay is getting stronger. Three bodies lie before you. Their flesh eaten away, bones are all that remain. Suddenly, an arm twitches... then a leg. Their eyes awaken with a dim, blue glow. - Still clutching their rusty pickaxes, they stumble toward you. Some evil has brought life to the lifeless. You must act quickly.

[[Use your spell.]]A dark presence washes over you. A powerful missile catches you by surprise as it strikes the cavern wall beside you.
[[Look carefully inside the darkness.]]You remember hearing tales of the undead. Holy powers are needed to put an end to their animated state. Try as you might, your efforts are futile. No arteries to sever, nor flesh to singe, one of the skeletal miners lands a finishing blow. A pick buried deep in your skull, all fades to black.

[[Right->LastRight]]The undead stand no chance against the might of the old gods. The tome glows white. A bright bolt of holy energy arcs from your hands, sending pieces of the walking dead to the ground from which they rose.
[[Look for items in the room.]]No longer fearing the pile of bones, you grab one of the picks from the dirt. Maybe you can use this to investigate collapsed areas in the mine...

[[Go back.-> NewStraight]]Before you stands a robed goblin with a long, crooked staff. His eyes stare blankly with a dim, blue glow. You know that another attack is imminent. Should you throw your axe? Or can you use the magic missile against him?

[[Use the scroll.->ScrollAttack]]Without a way to defend yourself from this dark magic, you cannot win this fight. A Ward spell will be able to reflect the missiles back at the caster. The cluster of dark bolts go through your body, draining the life from you. The foul wizard cackles as the last of your essence leaves you... all is lost.
[[You Died.]] Pulling the magical scroll from your bag, you activate it immediately. A pulsing energy materializes before you. The goblin wizard does not cease his attack, sending more missiles toward you.Without piercing the shield, the dark bolts are reflected back at the creature. His scream is cut short as his life is drained and body emptied. He falls to a heap on the cold ground as the ward fades.

[[You Died.]] You feel the weight of the evil in the room lift. These poor souls at the foot of the pedestal are now free to rest. Sadun's Silver Mine is now cleansed of evil. But why did the man send you here?
