The sun's rays come in through the canopy forming beams of golden light inside this green church.\n\nYou realize that despite the divine setting, something is not right. You can't put your finger on it but it starts to bother you so you stop walking. And that's when you realise that there is no sound in the forest. The only sound was the rustling of leaves as you walked through the forest and now even that has stopped.\n\nYou turn a full circle and can't see or hear any animals. There are no birds. Not even insects. It bothers you and makes you apprehensive. The sun hides behind the horizon and it gets dark. The reaper hasn't come yet. You have been day dreaming lying in the soft forest floor. It's dark and you can't see anything. You head animals in a distance, coming out to welcome the night. Then it gets closer. Rustling of leaves. Flutter of wings. Crickets chirping and wolves howling. But all these myriad of sounds doesn't scare you. What scares you is the slight whisper of a human voice.\n\nYou can hear it but can't quite make what it is saying. It sounds like a very old lady is practicing saying the letter S over and over again. The fear gets to you. Maybe it's a witch. Maybe you aren't dead at all. Maybe a witch has caught you and brought you in this strange world. The kraken is hurt and can't swim fast enough. You manage to swim away from the kraken and come to the surface of the ocean. As you bob your head out of the ocean you realise that it isn't an ocean but a river. This must be the river you were supposed ride on to save Geminia. That must have been the world's first fresh water kraken. That would explain the enormous size of the beast because everyone knows sea water krakens don't grow that big.\n\nYou let the river flow take you downstream as this is the only way you know of riding the river. The forest is high to your right on a cliff. On your left is a white sandy beach and behind it more forest.\n\nA few minutes of river riding later, you see the rainbow in the distance. You become happy to see it because you would find Geminia there. You prepare yourself mentally to fight off whatever monster was trying to hurt her.\n\nYou drift along for a few more minutes and reach the rainbow. The river suddenly stops at the rainbow as if this was the limit of this world. There on the beach is a woman sitting and stringing the colours of the rainbow as if it was a harp. The music is melodic. You find the nearest tree and start to climb hoping to get a bearing about where you are. The tree is slippery and there aren't many branches in the lower levels so you find it hard to climb.\n\nYou find another tree that is not very high and looks climbable. You start to climb and try to divert your thoughts from the fact that it is so quiet in the forest. You think about home but the memory is hazy. You have a home and there are a few people in it but you can't remember anything clearly. You try to think when you came to the forest and it's all hazy again.\n\nThen a thought comes to your mind; maybe you are dreaming. Maybe this is a weird dream of some sort. As you get lost in your thoughts and reach out for the next branch towards the top of the tree, you end up grabbing a snake!\n\nThe silky black snake is looking at you a little surprised. Its green underbelly signals that it is poisonous. Your scream scares the snake and it screams back as you throw it to the ground. You are too startled to realise that the snake screamed in a human voice. The snake lands softly on some big leaves and slides down them to the forest floor. It raises its head up and looks straight at you and says, "What'd you do that for!"\n\n"Excuse me?" you say still not realising that you are talking to a snake.\n\n"First you wake me up from my sleep like that then you scream so loudly in my ears and then you throw me down! What kind of manners your mamma taught you?"\n\n"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. But wait, wait a minute. You are a snake!"\n\n"Damn right I am. And you damn near killed me!"\n\n"But how can you… How are you… How is this possible!"\n\n"Why are you surprised? This could just be a dream. Or maybe you are dead. Didn't you think that yourself?" the snake asks.\n\n"Oh yes. It's either a dream or I'm dead. I thought that. You wake up in the forest and again everything is silent again. The sun is filtering through the canopy and making the forest feel like a church.\n\nYou get up and think about your situation. You realise that this is definitely an afterlife of some sort. And the ghost last night was the reaper. You don't know why it didn't take you somewhere last night only. Maybe you need to find your way out of the forest in order for the reaper to help you. Maybe you have to find your own way and you can either end up in heaven or hell.\n\nIt sounds unfair to you that you are supposed to find your own way. You have 50% chance of ending up in hell for no reason! But still you have to do something. You can no longer sit and wait.\n\n[[So you decide to climb a tree to find out more about the forest and where you are.| climb2]]

The thirst is growing but you are apprehensive so you dip your finger in the water. It feels sticky and thick and not at all like water. You take out your finger and wipe it with your shirt.\n\nYou start walking away from the wine glass flowers containing the thick non water liquid. Your finger starts burning and swelling. It was some sort of poison and you thank god that you decided to test it first.\n\nYou are tired and thirsty but the forest is looking more and more dangerous so you start running again.\n\nYou keep running. Getting exhausted. But keep running. More and more. Getting slower but keep running. More and more.\n\nYour eyes can barely stay open and the sun has all but set. But you are still running. Suddenly you come out of the forest. The tree-line stops suddenly and you are in open ground that is falling sharply in front of you. You try to stop but the slope gets too steep and now you are falling down into the valley.\n\nThe ground is covered in soft grass and you don't feel any pain even though you are tumbling down almost at free fall speeds. The tiredness gets over you and you close your eyes, still tumbling down and down.\n\nAnd then with a splash you fall into a river. The cold water wakes you up. You see that the river is flowing fast and try to swim out of it but you are too tired to swim. Slowly you close your eyes and just let go.\n\nWhat do you think should happen next?\n\n[[I should drown and die.| die]]\n\n[[I should float down the river and enter a fairy land where I live happily ever after with a beautiful fairy.| fairytale]]\n

You set out to save Geminia even though you have no idea how to do it. You don't even know how to find the river. But you realise that the only way you can solve this mystery is by seeking Geminia and trying to save her. So you start walking in the first direction that comes to your mind.\n\nThe forest starts growing thinner and you start to hear some noises. Besides your own sounds, there are certain whispers, indicating the presence of animals and birds and insects in the forest.\n\nSoon you find yourself in a slight clearing in the forest. The trees don't grow in this semi circular patch and the sun is shinning brightly on your face now. The ground slopes downwards on all sides of the clearing to form a small pond in the middle. The pond is full of dirty black water. It is very still.\n\nYou walk towards the pond and realise that it is not just muddy but completely black. Like black oil. It even looks thick and silky. You bend forwards and reach out your hand to touch the black oily water.\n\n"Sorry sorry," suddenly a voice comes from behind you. You are startled and almost fall into the pond. You turn around and see a pygmy dwarf walk towards you.\n\n"I should have met you earlier but you see I was a little busy today. I had to go to this funeral you see. My mother-in-law, god rest her soul, passed away you see."\n\nHe's wearing a black suit with a black top hat like that of a magician. But his pants are torn below his knees and he is barefoot.\n\n"A sombre affair but a nice service. My wife made cake. I'm terribly sorry I didn't think of bringing some along for you."\n\n"Ummm" you have no words.\n\n"I see you are hungry. I should have known. I apologise profusely."\n\n"Who are you?"\n\n"Oh! I'm sorry. How rude of me. Of course you don't know me. You become a little famous and you start thinking that everybody knows you. The perils of celebrity you see."\n\n"Right.
