The Room
You go back into the room and shut the door.\n\n[[There's a wardrobe pressed up against the wall opposite to you.|dresser]]
After a quick inspection, you have a gash down your right calf and you are losing lots of blood. You won't be able to keep letting it bleed like that. You'll have to cut the blood flow off. \n\n<<if $visited_bandages eq "yes" and $visited_check_bedtable_drawer eq "yes">> You wrap the bandage above the gash once and tie the two ends together. You open the envelope. \n<<if $visited_light_candles eq "yes">> There are two postcards and a letter. You look at the postcards first. \nOne is from Christmas. A mounted soldier is on the front with a scroll above him. The scroll read 'Christmas Greetings.' The cursive writing on the other side is illegible but the date is readable - 18th December 1917. \nThe other postcard is from earlier - 5th May 1915. It had a crude charcoal drawing of a Russian Samoyed, an English Bulldog and a fluffy French Poodle. The back read as following;\n\n\t\t//I don’t know whether I got rid of a good deal of emotion at the reserve trench this week through hating Private Collins but I left feeling decidedly freer, in fact quite glad at the prospect of being relaxed for a week from the annoyance of floundering about in endless, unilluminating associations, and with a feeling that I could forget that annoyance and so throw myself whole-heartedly into work and socialising during that five (or rather, six) days.//\n\nThe letter was short but was in the same handwriting and you guessed it was by the same person. It was dated 20th November 1914.\n\n\t\t//To go back to the Sunday when we said goodbye, when I was half-way down the street I wanted to go back and kiss you. I wonder if you were trying to show by holding me close, that you would not mind my kissing you? Anyway, my reactions are not quick enough, and although I often want to kiss you when away from you, when you are there the chilling detached atmosphere surrounding an analyst is too strong. Also one of the first things that occurred to me afterwards was your telling me a simple gift could not be accepted, and I think that and your after-holiday letter are still affecting me. It seems that my interest in you and thought for you were thrown back unwanted, and now it is difficult to believe in any advances implied by you.//\n\nCurious... <<else>> There are three items in the envelope but you can't see exactly what they say. You need more light...<<endif>>\n\n[[Have a look at the other items in the box|box inspect]]

\n[[There's a bedside table just by the bed.|bedtable inspect]]\n\n[[There's a box under the bed.|box inspect]]\n\n[[I have the code.|open wardrobe]]

You go through the door...\n\n//End.//
You unwrap the item. A Colt M1911 now sits in your hands. You check the chamber. It has <<print either(2,3,4,5,6,7)>> bullets left in it. A note is attached to the trigger by a piece of string. It reads;\n\t\t\t\t\tUse the bullets well\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tFGBTS\n\n[[Have a look at the other items in the box|box inspect]]
