You are suddenly awoken by loud piercing beeping noise followed by a females voice saying "Tri-Valley Fire Department, this is an ambulance request to mile 250 for a head-on vehicle collision. Multiple patients, conditions unknown". As the tones going off you jump out of bed, put your uniform on and run to jump in the [[ambulance->The Drive]]. As you jump in the passenger seat your partner is jumping in the driver's. When you're driving away you call over the radio, "Dispatch this is Medic 12 Responding with two". "Copy Medic 12 responding with two at 0600", she responds. You're racing down the road, light flashing and sirens blaring. There are not any cars in the way, so you arrive [[on scene->On Scene]] after 25 minutes.You and your partner jump out of the ambulance. Your partner yells out, "do you want to triage [[blue truck->The Blue Car]] or [[grey car->The Grey Car]]?"As you approach you see a woman unconscious in the passenger seat and a man in the drivers trying to wake her. It looks like the other car hit mostly on the front passenger side. Do you want to look at the [[woman->Triage Woman]] first or the [[man->Triage Man]]. As you walk up to the car from what you see there is only one person in the vehicle, he's not wearing a seatbelt and you noticed the spiderweb on the windshield from his head hitting it. The front end of the car was destroyed. The man looks as if he is unconscious and has a large laceration on his head. What do you do first, check the man a for [[pulse->Checking Out the Patient]] or look for around for any other [[passengers->Looking for More Victims]]?When you open the door you noticed she is in critical condition with no pulse and is not breathing. You need to make a choice [[save her with your partner->Revive]] or leave her with your partner tend to the [[man->Tend to the Man]].As you start your triage assessment you find that the man's respirations and pulse are slightly elevated. Do you green tag and [[move on to the woman->Help the Woman]] or [[keep assessing him->Assess the Man]]. Your partner starts CPR as you prepare to intubate. You successfully intubate the woman as your partner is on the second round of CPR. After three sets of compressions, you and your partner switch. You are now doing chest compressions while your partner is bagging. During your second set of compressions you glance up and see the man collapsed to the ground. Do you call [[mutual aid->Mutual Aid]] or split up to help the [[man->Split Up]].He conscious, breathing and able to talk to you. He seems ok for now you you go back to [[help revive the woman->Revive]].When you open the door you noticed she is in critical condition with no pulse and is not breathing. She is a yellow tag do you want to [[revive her->Revive]] or go back and help the [[man->Assess the Man]]. You get out a C-collar, put it around his neck and begin to put him on a backboard. As you are moving him onto the backboard the man yells in pain, he tells you "I have pain in my lower abdomen". You and your partner lower him to the ground and cut off his shirt. You find that the skin on his lower abdomen is a purple color. When you palpate the area it feels ridged and he yells in pain. His breathing is now shallow and his skin is pale, cool and clammy. He's in hypovolemic shock. You can either call for [[mutual aid->Mutual Aid 2]] or [[transport->Transport]] both by yourself.You find that the patient has no pulse and is not breathing. He also has the large laceration to the head and to he abdomen. Your partner calls out, "What do you have?" You can either [[black tag->Black Tag]] him or [[attempt to save->No Hope]].You find no other victims that could have flown from the car so you go back to the [[driver->Checking Out the Patient]].He is to far gone. He has had to much trauma and lost a lot of blood. You need to help your partner with the victims that are still savable. You black tag him and [[move on->The Blue Car]] to help your partner. The Troopers will have to deal with the body.As you start removing him from the vehicle, you here your partner run over, "I need your help! He's already gone we have to [[move on->The Blue Car]]. The Troopers will have to deal with the body.After continuing CPR with your partner for 25 minutes Mutual Aide finally arrives. Mutual Aide takes over CPR and ventilation. They put her into their ambulance and race her to the hospital while you and your partner [[tend to the man->Save the Man]].Your partner yells, "What are you doing?! I can't do compressions and bag!" You go back to help and [[call mutual aid->Mutual Aid]].You get out a C-collar, put it around his neck and begin to put him on a backboard. Your partners strips off his clothes and you notice that the skin on his lower abdomen is a purple color and when you palpate the area it feels ridged. His breathing is now shallow and his skin is pale, cool and clammy. He's in hypovolemic shock. You and your partner load him into the ambulance, give him an IV and oxygen. On the way to the hospital he crashed 20 minutes out. He bleed out internally and there was nothing you could do to stop the bleeding. You then arrive at the [[hospital->Hospital 2]].As you hand over the man's body to the hospital the other ambulance crew comes over and tells you the woman made it. Everyone packs up and returns to head quarters to restock the ambulances to be ready for the next call.You call mutual aid and they are about 25 minutes out. While you waiting for the second ambulance you give the man an IV and your partner puts him on oxygen. When they arrive you quickly load him into their ambulance and they take him to the hospital. You now need to move on to the [[woman->Save the Woman]].Your partner disagrees, "There is no way we can effectively transport them both with just us, [[call mutual aid->Mutual Aid 2]]".She is in critical condition with no pulse and is not breathing. You start CPR and load her into your ambulance to take her to the hospital. You try your hardest to revive her on the way to the hospital with no success. She dies in the ambulance. You Arrive at the [[Hospital->Hospital]].You hand her body over to the hospital. The other ambulance crew comes over and tells you than man also died on the way to the hospital. Everyone packs up and returns to head quarters to restock the ambulances to be ready for the next call.
