Prey (Work in Progress) by Movement

"Prey" is an idea of what wildlife would be like if they were given intelligence. The game revolves around escapism, the right decisions being vital at times. This started as just a thing I wrote out of boredom, but I ended up putting a little more into it than I intended. Only a small snippet is finished currently, but it's a taste of what is planned to come if I decide it's worth continuing. This is my first text adventure, so I will be blaming any screw-ups on that. If I finish it, the end product will be a branching story with multiple endings.

[STORYLINE:] David is a brown anthropomorphic rabbit that lives with his family in a hidden, partly underground cabin his parents crafted years back. His parents and his older brother used to live in a civilization, like most rabbits, but as the civilization grew barbaric and controlling, sacrificing their own kind to a powerful neighboring wolf civilization to ward off attacks, they knew they needed to leave. The villages were surrounded by wooden walls and spikes that kept creatures out as much as in, making their escape difficult. Nonetheless, the three were able to escape narrowly. Once free, they fled to a quiet place the parents had found before the civilization grew dangerous. There, they built a new life, eventually having David and his little brother and sister. David’s older brother, Jacob, became the supply forager of the family as his father grew old. One day, he never came home. It fell onto David to provide for the family of four: His little sister, Jade, his little brother, Francis, his mother, Everett, and his father, Noah. David knows his family depends on him coming home, and knowing this drives him forward. After less than a year of supply runs and close calls, he's heading home once again with a sash bag full of supplies. On his usual route home, he sees clouds rolling in over the valley.
