Can no longer take an object + object won't show up in the Places and Objects tab.

If I had to describe the texadventures editor in one word, intuitive would be the last word I would ever think of using...

Somehow, an object that has been working just fine up until an hour ago, decided it would ignore what the code is telling it to do and hide itself from the Places and Objects bar. On top of that, it also doesn't want to be taken anymore, because I guess we're just giving inanimate objects sentience now.

I don't understand, I have the check-boxes checked, and then double checked that they're checked, and still the game refuses to abide by it.

Help? If you even can?

If it's not showing up and places and objects, and it's not takeable, are you sure it's still there? Have you (or your code) accidentally moved the object; or moved the player without realising? ~Is the object still visible?
Can you use other commands on it, apart from trying to take it?

can you access the Object in any way? does it exist? do you have code that 'destroys' the Object?

or did you activate the scenery flag for the object?

Update:

The object IS currently visible. It is NOT scenery. It's NOT using default prefix and suffix. (They are blank.) It is NOT a room. It IS an inanimate object.

Both the object and the take command have reappeared, but now all the other commands, as well as the take command do nothing. (I can move around and do other stuff, so I know it's not lag or anything, and there are no error messages appearing, so IDK.)

The object is now appearing on the Places and Objects tab, but it is not showing up properly. (It's showing up, but it is as if it's scrolled down and you can just barley click on the edge to select it.)

:(

That sounds like a strange UI bug.

Can you link to the game so we can poke it and try to figure out the problem?

Does this issue start as soon as the game begins, or is it triggered by a specific event?

The game isn't up, I haven't finished it. (And it's kinda weird, so no judging me.)

Unless you count walking into the room an event, no.

Alright, back at it again.

I decided to just make a new object and copy-paste the code over until I figured out where the problem was. I think it had something to do with the Display verbs tab, I can't really remember, because I tend to forget things when I'm COMPLETELY PISSED.

Now there's is a problem where two verbs that are nearly IDENTICAL are acting up. (These verbs are tied to the object that was acting up previously. Yet this is a completely new object. Coincidence? No. Evil spirits? Definitely.)

The only difference between these two verbs are the names of the verbs, and the text that they display when chosen. One verb works fine, does exactly what I want. The other one though, apparently is too complex for this editor to understand. (When I click the verb, it just says "I don't understand your command."

If you know a good exorcist, I'll take that before any technical help, because there is no WAY that this program could be THIS STUPID without some sort of demonic presence messing with it. If you don't, technical help will have to do.
