i keep getting this error message from my tutorial game, how do i fix this?

What is your code that is failing? Please share it here so we can determine if you are doing it right or making a complete dog's breakfast of it.
Are you using this as the following example shows?

  msg("That's not something you can sit on.")
}
else {
  SitOnChair(object)
}

If you are using the IDE, are you at (http://docs.textadventures.co.uk/quest/tutorial/using_scripts.html) part of the tutorial? What have you got before you test run it?

That looks like an editor error, rather than a runtime error.

What are you trying to do when the error appears? Which script are you adding?

With an error like that, it could mean something is wrong with your installation. If nobody else can see what's causing it, it could be worth reinstalling Quest or the .NET framework (but I'm not so sure in this case).
