You walk outside, the rain dripped down you're glasses, as you walked along the sidewalk. No cars or people went by, as if the area was a ghost town from a horror movie.
[[Keep walking]]You keep walking, having only the thoughts in you're head to keep you company. The rain blocked out all noises that could disturb you from you're thoughts, it's not hard to zone out when you are heavily thinking. Crossing the street was no big deal, since no cars went by.
You're home was within you're line of sight, the sky grew darker. Night time approached faster then the speed of light, the streets get dangerous at night. No place for someone like you to be wandering aimlessly like a lost child looking for their mother in an airport.
[[I see the stars far above my head.]]Stepping on the wooden front porch of you're home, you stand at the front door, the rain was growing louder like a choir group singing high notes to end their performance. You can hear the giggles and laughter of a happy, little girl. You take you're keys out of you're pocket, they jingle in you're hand.
[[Unlock the door]]You put you're keys inside the keyhole and turn you're keys to the left. You hear the clicking noise of you're door becoming unlocked. The rain grew louder behind you.
[[Walk inside]]You open the door and walk inside, closing the door behind you as it slammed shut.
[[I felt the vibrations]]You drop you're book bag down, next to the door. School was always a pain in the neck, yet you excelled in nearly all subjects except math. It was like arguing with numbers and letters, except you would always find it diffcult to assert how right you were.
Glancing down at you're wrist watch, it was 5:30 P.M, the usual time you would arrive home. Sitting down on the couch, you're muscles and every fiber of you're being felt relief. Like a baby, you fell asleep.
[[I can hear the laughter]]Waking up, you're eyes slowly opened, you stand up from the couch. You find yourself in a strange world, everything around you is black, the laughter and happy giggles of children could be heard, they got louder and louder. A wave of fear rushed through you're veins, you hear the pulsation of you're heart. It pounded inside you're chest, you feel like it'll drop to you're stomach. You're head begins to hurt.
[[I sense the dread]]Look behind you.
You feel something near you.
It's like someone is watching you.
You're alone in the dark.
[[I am not alone]]Suddenly, everything is quiet.
You hear a ringing in you're ears that you, yourself, can barely hear.
You hear someone whispering next to you, turning you're head in the direction of the whispers, there's no one there.
The whispers only grow louder.
[[I smell powder]]The pounded of rain on the ground, the laughter of the little girl, and the jingle from you're keys, all return to haunt you alongside the whispers. They grow louder each second, covering you're ears proved futile as if you were trying to not hear the truth.
All the noises grew louder.
They all stop abruptly, you wake up to find yourself in bed...you're bed in you're room. Pictures of the little girl, on you're nightstand, give you headaches. You get out of bed and walk out you're room to find police tape in you're living room, blocking the way to the front door and kitchen. You couldn't leave her alone, dry blood on the living room carpet, she giggled as she played with her barbie dolls. You rub you're eyes, not enough sleep was bad, she wasn't there anymore.
[[I was too late]]You head back inside you're room and lay down on you're bed.
It's over.
