The first time we ever met was our sophomore year of high school on the first day of class in our gym class. He walked in and already knew a large number of people in the class. "He had to have been knew" I thought to myself. He definitely wasn't here in the previous years. I noticed he was fairly tan and pretty slim. He had bleached spots in his hair some how and I thought at first he was kinda weird. The boy who was the same age as I was very athletic so we hit it off and hung out during our gym class every day. He just so happened to also be in JROTC with me but in a separate class from me. As the first quarter of our sophomore year rolled on we hung out more and more. Next thing you know we are hanging out every single day during our lunch and on our weekends playing video games and talking about girls in the grades above us. The year flew by and next thing you know its already [[summer->Summer]] time. During the summer I had learned he was a big skate boarder and that the base he was previously from in Mississippi had a lot of the skaters. I on the other hand was no skater, I mean previously i had tried and owned my own skateboard and we would just skate around the base everyday just messing around and running into other friends who lived around the base. This always ended up in us finding a nice grassy area for us to play some kind of sport with everyone or a basketball court to shoot hoops. The bond we formed through the days we spent together was unlike anything I have ever had with another friend of mine. He could and still to this day just look at me funny and I will start laughing so hard I can not even breathe. This man has a direct line to my funny bone. His name is Trevor. Now in the entire time we had been friends Trevor never have I once seen him angry. Not when he is in trouble or when someone says something that could bring down the mood of everyone in the room, but not Trevor. He would always have a smile on his face no matter what and with his big dumb grin give off his laugh and say something that could lift the spirits of everyone in the room [[again->Anger]]. I have still never seen Trevor angry to this day still although, I was told a story from my brother when him and Trevor were hanging out one time. So my parents had went out of town for a vacation down in Louisiana and Mississippi to go see friends and family for two weeks. Now while they were gone Trevor had come over to keep me and my brother company just about ever single day. We had gotten into playing this card game called Magic The Gathering. Well one night when I went out to hangout with another person Trevor visited my brother so I'm told by my brother. They start playing a few games of magic and my brother keeps beating Trevor every game they played in around four turns, which for those who do not know if fairly quick for a game of magic. My brother had beaten him 4 games so far and they were on their 5th. It was again around turn four and it was Trevor's turn and if he did not do something within the game that was game changing he would lose. Trevor looks at his cards and at the playing field of the game. He sets his cards down and picks up his coffee he had in a Styrofoam cup. He out walks to the back door, opens it, then chucks his coffee across the yard, turns around and tells my brother "I'm so fucking pissed right now!". He then begins to walk around our house out in the snow in the middle of [[October->Still Never Seen Him Mad]]. I have yet to witness such a feat from Trevor with my own two eyes. I doubt I ever will. He has just recently graduated from basic training for the Air National Guard. I can not tell anyone how proud I am of my best friend. I very much do so consider him a brother. He has always been there for me and I've always been there for him. I'm looking forward to the day that he comes back from his schooling so we can hangout again. This is a short story about one of the few people I call a best [[friend->My Best Friend]].
