You and your husband Robert have been married for 5 years and things have been going great. You have a 2 year old daughter named Lucy who you two both love very much. Recently your beloved husband Robert has started to feel more stressed at work. He has been working long hours and has been coming home and immediately hitting the bottle. Robert has never before been violent with you but this night was much different and Robert threatens you. You set out to go get a job and finally get one but you still are staying in a hotel which is not cheap. Also you cannot afford to send Lucy to day care and she is too young to stay at home alone. you are forced to return home to your husband.

You and Lucy make it to a nearby shelter and get away from the abusive situation. You are able to get the help you need and begin to be a counselor for others with the same situation. You and Robert divorce and you and Lucy live a very happy and content life.
The police arrive and your husband Robert is taken into custody in front of your young daughter Lucy. Your daughter is very traumitized and you are very unsure what to do. You remember that your friend had a situation.
