it is daybreak and it is pretty warm outside and you start for the northeast. After a few hours of walking you trip over a little hole. the hole has a door and inside the hole is a stash of cigarettes. you have never smoked in your life and don't know how you would since you have no lighter but do you want to take them anyways? You enter the house and start by searching the kitchen In the kitchen most of the food is spoiled, but in one of the cupboards you find four cans of tomato soup which is enough food to last you a day. you stuff it in the backpack and are reminded of the good times when you had some tomato soup of your own. Search second floor

You go up the stairs and here you find something you did not expect to see, you find a someone's survival camp. along with their dead corpse. You have never seen a corpse before and it is a disturbing sight. You continue to the west and you see some big compound ahead. as you get closer it looks like it is an airstrip, however the entire place is surrounded by a barbed wirefence. Enter house

You enter the house and it is unlocked, the first thing to do is to search the kitchen because food and water is of upmost importance You first search the refridgerator and the food in it is all moldy and old, however there is several water bottles, enough to last the both of you guys two days out here. although they smell awful. Go to living room

Break in grocery store

You manage to break through the boarded up windows and you see that the store is nicely stocked up. you search through the store and you can either stock up your backpack with food, water or a even mix of both [[Food]] [[Water]] [[Both]]

Continue to the south

You continue for a while, it reaches noon and a little bit after noon you see a building in the distance. You get closer and it is a military surplus store in there, there must be plenty of survival equipment and thankfully you can see the door was blown off by the nuclear bomb. Search through survival camp

all of the food and water is gone, but what you do see here is a gas container, which is filled to the brim, and a machete. You are certain the machete is going to be useful to you and a necessity for exploring, however you are mixed on whether or not you should take the gas container (set: $machete to 1) [[Take the gas container]] [[Don't take the gas container]]

Break into airstrip

You cut a hole in the fence with your bolt cutters so you can search the airfield. you go into the open hangar and you see it. [[Continue->airstrip]]

Turn back 2

You leave the airstrip with the thought that you could come back if you had something that could cut a hole in the wire fence. You reach the remnants of your house and knock on the bunker door. [[Continue->north end]]

You continue walking and you find one building that managed to survive standing above the rubble. you aren't sure what it is because the sign blew off but you continue to approach it. the door for the building is unlocked and through the window you can see that it is a small hardware store. The store is packed full of goodies First of all there is a big backpack you can use so that is a nice upgrade (set: $bigbackpack to 1) Then you find a crobar, that would have been useful earlier.
