''Welcome to //Made a Mistake//''
In this tale of woe, you will have to try your best ''not'' to make the aforsaid mistake.
A few things you should know:
- The way you act decides how others feel about you. Their opinions of you will not be stated openly, but will affect the availability of future decisions, as well as how they react to you.
- You will not always be able to please everyone! This is important!
- The same decision will effect different people in different ways - for instance, a decision that would make an easily befriended person instantly like you may only raise you slightly in the eyes of one less easy to please.
- This is a massive project, and as such may contain some mistakes (ironically, considering the name!). Please try to enjoy it despite these issues.
- This is my first project of this kind. I am very much an amateur. I am focusing on telling a story, rather than fancy coding and graphics. I am writer at heart.

I saw the footage. Think anyone who would be on these boards saw it. Does anyone have any clue how Dauntless is doing now? the media haven't been able to get any interviews that I know of, there's been no word from his official account.

No idea. You're right, he hasn't agreed to any interviews, nor has he posted. he's dropped off the map completely. nobody knows what's going on with him.

I have some info. I know the guy.
He's doing okay. Needs some recovery time, even with his powers he still gets hurt sometimes. Mentally, he just wants to go back and beat the bastard who did this to him.

''Re: Any information on the new villain?''
There's really very little known about him. For now, he calls himself Nightlight. With the ruckus he's been causing, I think Dauntless'll be after him soon.

''Re: Any information on the new villain?''
As of this morning, he has officially beaten Dauntless, leaving him hospital-bound. This is the first time Dauntless has ever been beaten.
One has to wonder what this means for the world.
You click away, feeling sick to your stomach. Dauntless' reputation is in tatters, now that people know he can be beaten. You wonder if he will ever quite get over it, the first bitter taste of failure. Even if he never loses again, you think this will haunt him.

Wow. there's a lot to say about this one.
As Chosens go, he doesn't seem too bad. His debut was an interesting one.
Any thoughts on him revealing his civilian identity? It was either a very clever or a very stupid move, depending on how he manages the response. His family are going to be mobbed. The chance of them being attacked is a high one, and I have to wonder how he's going to handle this.
//Posted over a year ago by mordecai//
''Re: Dauntless Discussion Thread''
I have a feeling that the whole public identity thing is going to go very badly for him, and for his family. they are very obvious weak points.
//Posted over a year ago by alibro//
''Re: mordecai''
At the same time, people will instinctively trust him more with one less secret. the levels of public support for him are phenomenal.
His family didn't seem to know, they looked as shocked as we all felt. Wonder if he'll face backlash from them?
//Posted over a year ago by mordecai//
''Re: alibro''
Backlash from the family? I think so. He's putting thm all in danger, including his twin sister. the parents can't be happy about that. Can't imagine the sister is going to be, either. This is going to majorly effect her life, for better or for worse.
Again, you click away. Although you want to read on, to see if they say anything further about you, you know it won't be good.
You will always be simply "the sister". Never anything more. Nobody will ever make a mention of you without it being due to your brother.
You accepted this long ago, but it still stings.

Yep. I appreciate how difficult it must be, to have such a famous sibling, with you yourself being largely forgotten in the light of his brilliance. Maybe you even resent him a little - or a lot - for putting your family in danger the way he did. Maybe you feel like your losing him.

In other news, I got 80% on my English mock
You chat with David for almost an hour and a half, until eventually he has to go.
It's good to speak to him again. You were beginning to worry that you wouldn't be able to start up another conversation - that your oldest friend would be lost, like so many others.
Of course, you've never met David. All of your friends are online. You find it hard to speak to people at school - they either want to get closer to your brother through you, or they're scared of getting caught up in the drama of having a Chosen as a twin.
Due to this, you never formed any real-life connections.
Your parents should be back soon. Until this event, you decide to play games on your laptop. You do this until the doorbell rings.
[[Ignore it->Parents are home]]
[[Answer it->Answer the doorbell]]
He smiles when he sees you. 'Hey there.'
'How are you feeling?' you ask him.
'I'm okay. Healing fast, thanks to my abilities!' he flashes a quick grin.
Your parents seem to sense the need for you to be alone, as your father suggests to your mother that they go and get a coffee from the canteen. Your mother agrees, and your parents leave.
You sit down on the corner of the bed. 'So, how are you really?'
'Awful. My advice? Don't get beaten up. Hurts like a bitch.'
'Not surprised, to be honest. You did get beat pretty bad.'
'They haven't let me look at the internet, or at any newspapers. How are people taking it?' he asks.
'I had a look at the boards today. I'm not going to lie to you - some have lost all faith in you. But others are taking it okay. They're worried, and quite rightly, but they still support you.'
He smiles again, letting his head fall back to the pillow. 'That's good. Not about the ones who have lost hope, about the others.'
Your parents return, clutching steaming cups of coffee. The rest of your time is spent sitting at the end of Andrew's bed listening to them talk to him. They ask him how he is doing, and tell him what's been going on with his friends,or those of the family.
They talk about everything but his defeat.
After about an hour, your brother expresses his need to rest. You have a hunch that he only does this so soon because he knows you are bored. You and your parents [[return home->Back Home]].You play for another hour or so, then hear the car pull into the driveway.
You head downstairs to welcome your parents home.
You wait in the kitchen. You hear the car door open, followed by a long scream, then running. You race to the door and pull it open.
A man is curled in feotal position on your front step. (text-colour: "red")[Blood] stains his face and torso, shirt torn to show several deep cuts in his side.
Your mother kneels next to him, frantically checking for a pulse.
'Mark!' she yells to your father, 'Mark, call an ambulance right now!'
Your father fumbles with his phone.
Your mother rocks back on her heels, one hand pressed against her mouth. 'He's alive.' she says.
You stand, frozen.
'Get a blanket!' she tells you.
You do so, draping it over the man.
Sirens proceed up the road, an ambulance screeching to a stop next to your house. Two paramedics are soon on the scene, moving the man onto a stretcher and carrying him away.
Although it only takes about fifteen minutes, it feels like it's been hours by the time the ambulance screeches away. [[It's all over now.->Save]]

He seems to be delirious.
Suddenly, he collapses, curled into a ball on your front step.

'We need an ambulance.' you rattle off your address.
//'Can you tell me what's happened?'//
'I'm not sure. There's a man, on our doorstep. He's covered in blood. I don't know if he's breathing or not-'

'He looks to be in his early twenties, but that's about all I can tell. We don't know him.'
//'Thank you. Help is on its way. Please stay on the line.'//

Your father has gone inside to get a blanket, draping it over the man.
It doesn't take long for the ambulance to arrive. Two paramedics move the man onto a stretcher, and take him into the back of the ambulance.
