You eye a red glass-covered push button on the left side of the tunnel. It's labelled "EMERGENCY BULKHEAD CLOSURE". After a moment of pondering, you decide it's better to cut your way of retreat than have those beasts after you. You crash the glass with a smash and push the button with all your might. Lights turn red for a moment, then a klaxon sounds, and a small explosive charge goes off, sending the heavy 15" bulkhead door closing in a whiff. The locking mechanism grinds in place in a single clank, sealing you away from the monsters back there. You decide that the best course of action from now on is aiming for their heads, their brains seemingly being their weak spot in more than a way. Alas, your considerations are cut short by a sudden crushing sensation that binds your head into a ferocious vise: from your back, a Biohulk grasped your head, lifted you mid-air and is trying to squash it, helmet and all. Trying to withstand the horrible pain and the sudden loss of sight and hearing, you bring your right hand over your shoulder and pull the blaster's trigger a couple of times. The hold on your head suddenly tightens for an interminable moment, then the freak's hand releases its grasp, sending you thumping on the floor. In dire pain, you roll to your right, and see that you managed to shoot the Hulk in the gaping, roasted throat, slaughtering it like a pig. The pilot returns at his seat, his head still in your sights, he rapidly and efficiently input commands on the console, while the radio keeps on crackling "ECHO 25, this is an unauthorized launch, abort immediately. ECHO 25..." and other plasma blasts shake the ship. From the dashboard you see that they are beginning to close the hangar doors, but the pilot is much swifter, and has the shuttle launch and leave the station in time. <<if $GuardsEntering == 1>> You are barely at a safe distance when the station blows up in the void of space because of the Main Power Generator overload you caused. <</if>>You dictate your prisoner some hyperspace coordinates, and he makes the jump. After that, you take the guy away from the pilot seat at gunpoint, tie him up with cable ties and lock him in the pantry. You disembowel it with a single motion of your arm, then sidestep right to avoid the falling corpse.\nAnother fiend is trying to lift something - a crate - to throw at you. Perfect. You run at it, step on the crate then jump and slash its skullcap and part of its brain away from its head, then land behind him.\nYour pain is intense, but the adrenaline drowns it out.\nThe two remaining Hulks are both charging in unison.\nGrowling you dash in their direction, nimbly pass under their hands, kneel, then draw a harmonious arc with your dagger, an arc that slashes the left monster's bowels and the right one breast. Then you roll forward between and beyond the two, risking to hurt yourself with your very own weapon.\nYou turn and stand up.\nThe first fiend shakes its legs for a moment, then collapses on itself, the other, even if bleeding like a butchered pig, turns around to attack you. You sprint forward and jump, then get hold of its waist with your legs, and use your dagger to cut and saw and hack the monster in two halves.\nYou jump away while its legs fall one side and its upper body thumps to the ground.\nYou stop, panting, your pupils dilated, the poisonous taste of adrenaline in your mouth, the pain rawfully reemerging from the background.\nYou carefully scan the area around.\nThey are all dead.\nYou won this battle!\n\n[[Look for an exit|LookForAnExit]]

You could get there in single sprint and avoid any fighting, then hijack the craft and go home. While you ponder about what to do, you notice a room on the other side of the hangar. It's a Secondary Energy Generator! If you got there, with some luck, you could hack the Main Generator and set it to explode, taking the whole starbase with it! Unluckily, the MedPod recognized that you aren't one of the facility employees, and now is conducting an interrogatory- //with a medical probe inside your body//. You try to resist with all your forces, but the pain and disconfort and fear and sickness the probe inside your body can inflict you is far beyond any possibility of description. You end up spilling all the beans, and then some, then you are brutally euthanized.<br><br><<death>><</if>><</nobr>><<nobr>><<if $medHacked == 1>> and painlessly enters your body. You are administered a very pleasant dose of anesthetic. With a slight jolt and a squelching sound you remove your dagger from the gash it created, and you land behind the Hulk, that crashes down on its face at your back, dead.\nThe other Hulks are utterly enraged by your actions, and charge you from all directions.\nYou sprint towards a particularly huge specimen. When you are within reach of its arms, it tries to slam both its fists to squash you like a bug. Crouching, you suddenly swerve right in your dash, keeping the blade left and low so to slice its foot lengthwise. The monster's eyes widen as it realizes that it can't support itself anymore, and falls on its face with a deafening thump. Your feet screeching on the floor you get to a sudden stop, then with a wide swoop of your arm you open the beast's flank with the plasma blade, blood spurting out and internal organs spilling on the floor.\nBefore you can catch a breath, you feel yanked violently on the right feet, and suddenly you hang upside-down in the hand of a Biohulk, that, judging by its gaping mouth, seems keen on biting off the upper part of your body.\nWrong move, you slash the dagger at its very mouth and send its mandible and tongue flying away. Its eyes rolling out, the fiend collapses on itself, and you end landing on its sweaty, bloody chest. It's dying by shock and profuse blood loss, but it's still grasping you with its giant hand. You have to cut it away like if you are portioning a turkey, taking care not to cut off your own leg, before you get free, standing on the thing's stomach.\nTwo brethren of the hunk of meat are already onto you simultaneously, ready to squish you like a gnat. Jumping from the dead aberration's stomach like if it were a sort of trampoline, you perform a double axel like a figure skater, only with your Plasma Dagger extended, like if it was a blender blade.\nThe attacking brutes get cut up like vegetables by your elegant swirling motion.\nLess elegant is the landing, amidst the sliced up bodies of three Biohulks. To free yourself you begin chopping around with your dagger, sending slices of meat, blood and entrails flying about.\nFinally, a monster has already reached you, and extends its open hand to grab you. You sting its appendage with your dagger, and it retreats it, shrieking like a thousand demons. It then tries to stomp you with its feet, but you skip left and right with perfect timing to avoid the thumping.\nAt the moment you find exactly between its feet you stick your dagger upward right between its legs, up to the hilt, then pull it backwards to split its buttocks apart and the terminal segment of its spinal cord in two. You try to dodge, but you are awash in disgusting matter from the interior of the beast. Your enemy collapses instantly, and you must be very nimble to displace yourself so not to be crushed by its failing body.\nYou are panting, your armor covered in unnameable filth, and look around.\nNot one of the beasts is still standing.\nYou hear a gurgling sound coming from one of the downed monsters. Almost skating on the creature's lifesap you turn around, sliding, to check it collapsing, its bowels erupting from the wound you inflicted him.\nIn that very moment one of its companions jumps over you, one of the most terryfying circumstances in a fight with such beasts. You surely could slice and dice him, but then the very weight of its body would crush you to death. Landing on your knees in this mess, you prepare to spring up in a jump to eviscerate one of the last remaining monsters. Unluckily, the beast you hurt before in its arm with your blaster, manages to once again get hold of you, squeeezing your torso, with its healthy limb. This time, alas, it doesn't toss you away: it repeatedly bangs you left and right on the steel plating floor until you are reduced to a shapeless pulp of internal organs and twisted armor plates.\n\n<<death>>

You slip underground, grateful to leave the party above. The Biohulks, however, noticed your little maneuver. They scramble to the metal panel to crush everything in the radius of sixty feet. You hurriedly scuttle down the dimly lighted tunnel, crawling because the low ceiling won't let you stand. Upon reaching the panel, the Hulks begin to smash and punch at the flooring with the utmost rage - you can feel the whole structure reverberating under the blows. Luckily, they didn't apparently think that you could have gotten away underground, and the only thing they achieve is to reduce the passage to an obstructed mess of metal scrap. You're not completely safe yet, though. You reach a heavy bulkhead that blocks your way. You flip back 360° on your heels and instinctively blast a gamma ray beam right thru its face that blisters and cracks while its cortex instantly fries out, and you have a hard time skipping to the left to avoid the collapsing giant crushing you to the ground. Another juggernaut is trying to grab your leg, surely to whack you on the metal floor like a club, so you swing your Blaster at the direction of its face, but in that instant you notice something //very// worrysome with the corner of your eye. You fail your shot and barely manage to gamma blast the monster arm, eliciting nonetheless a beastly cry of pain; the real problem however seems to come from one of the most distant brutes: you catch it right in the act of tossing a humongous section of steel piping right in your direction. In a fraction of a second you estimate that it would be too big and fast to duck, so you roughly aim your V83 at the Hulk and blast away a couple of streams of gamma rays - the first one misses, but the other one hits the brute right in its gaping mouth, searing its brain inside and sendig charred cerebral matter squirting out of its ears. The thing crumbles down under the weight of its very projectile, braindead and squashed.<<invGet "blaster" "charge">><<if $invGot <= 20>> Your blaster emits a bleeping sound, telling you it's almost out of charge.<</if>> Unluckily, the Hulk you hit on the arm isn't particularly happy of what you have done, so it grabs your left leg with its healthy arm, swings you around a couple of time and sends you flying against the steel plate wall. Pity for its bluish streaks of Cherenkov radiation, that give away your position to the other guards. The Cherenkov radiation beam gave you away, so plasma bolts begin raining on your position.\nYou fry a couple of other guards, then move down towards the generator room still behind cover.\nYou manage to pick another soldier, but then the rain of plasma beams liquify your cover. That's the moment you sprint towards the generator room.\nTwelve feet of running and you're already blasted in the chest by a guard. You fall on the ground on your knees, your vision goes dark for a moment, but then you regain your control and, against an excruciating pain, get back on foot, aim at the bastard who shot you, and fry his entrails.\nYou start running again, and at last you reach the generator room door. You pull and tug and push, but the ragdoll corpse won't get out of the way. More plasma blasts hit the ship, and worse, they are closing the hangar doors! You finally manage to pull the poor sap's corpse out of the way, and promptly slide in his seat. You try to set all instruments for launch faster than you can, but you aren't a professional pilot, and in the meantime the hangar doors are getting closer and closer to each other. At the last momemnt you manage to blast the shuttle afterburners on cold engines (something that will halve their operational life, at the very least) and shoot towards the gap in the closing doors. You have to yaw ninety degrees to the left to slip out of the gap, but the troubles aren't over. You forgot to lift the loading slide! Air begins blowing out of the cockpit, while you search for the right button or switch to close the damn thing, and find it more by sheer luck than anything.
