You only have moments.
[[Continue along the catwalk towards an office.]]
[[Go back to the room.]]You sprint for the office, and the door slides open. Almost instinctually, you press a keypad upon entering, locking the door. The bandits pound on the door.
The office has only one door and a desk in the middle, blood spilled across it. A woman in a lab coat lays slouched in a corner. As you approach the desk, its surface lights up.
‘Welcome Doctor Kruber’
‘Danger’
‘Code red in effect, all personnel must leave immediatley.’
The door gives a little, you here the bandits shouting clearly. The banging continues.

[[Continue]]The ventilation leads you to small hidden exit, where you find a forest. The world is dark, screams in the distance. You cough out black smoke. No human would have made it out of that smoky ventilation alive.
The wall hiding the ventilation must be fifty feet tall, and so long you cannot see it end on either side, cutting the land in two. A fire blazes in the distance, behind the trees to the left. City towers peak over the trees to your right. You cannot stay here, something will find you.
[[Head left, into the forest.]]
[[Head right, along the wall towards the city.]]You start heading left, the screams get louder. Voices can be heard, but you can’t make out the words. You avoid the fire and the screams and keep heading into the forest.
You don’t grow thirsty, or hungry, and feel fine, even as the hours pass.
[[Keep walking]]Sticking along the wall, you start walking towards the city.

[[Tame it]] You burst into a sprint. It doesn’t appear to follow.
The night sky grows even darker. Sleep overcomes you, as you lie down as hidden as you can.

In a hushed voice he says, “But without them weapons they just dinner waitin to be cooked, if ya asked them city folks. You best take these.” He hands you a gun and clothes. As if reinvigorated, he yells,“Ya look out now. Don’t let’em get a good look at ya. Maybe start walkin like ya leg is rotten. “I’m Minerva, this camp’s mayor I suppose.” She sits in a chair at a desk and motions you to sit in a chair across from her.
A blank television sits to your right, surrounded by books and magazines strewn on the floor.
“Dear, are you from the other side of the wall?” She asks sweetly, smiling with those sharp teeth.
[[Yes]]
[[No]] “Yeessss.” Her eyes light up. “Do They have computers, cars, or television?” Motioning to the blank television.
“Running water, electricity!?”

“Reeaaaalllly?” She gets excited again. She makes a motion with her hand.
You feel a sharp pain in your back.
You stand and spin around, as a hairless and toothless man with shriveled skin like a raisin pulls a knife from your back.
“You really are a meta-human.” Minerva whispers, as the wound heals itself in just a few moments, the pain already subsiding.
“I wonder how much we can tear off you...”
She pauses,
“...before you stop healing.”
Another mutated man blocks the door, the knife wielding man steps closer. Minerva reveals her own knife.
[[Pull out gun]]You try to get up.
The restraints hold tight.
[[Look around->nightmare]] Your right leg is missing a chunk of flesh.
The pain subsides quickly as the leg quickly regenerates.

The mutated figures are barely lit from the fire, there is no moonlight.
They whisper excitedly as your leg regenerates itself.
[[Get up->nightmare3]]You try to get up, the restraints loosen, but hold you down.
A knife rips the same chunk of leg off. You cry out in pain. The pain quickly subsides as the leg heals. More excited cries from the crowd.
Minerva stands over you, smiling with her sharp teeth, now dripping with blood. Her pristine red dress the same color as the blood.
[[Get up->endgame?]] You struggle one last time.
The restraints hold.
[[End Game]]The camp erupts with screams of terror.
“Its here, RUN!”
The crowd scatters.
Mutants grab torches from the fire to fight whatever it is attacking them.
In the chaos, you finally struggle free of the restraints.
Minerva is gone.

The camera view shows the great wall breaking in two, right where the refugee camp sits. Only, no water pours into the camp from the wall. On the other side, is a small lake. An underwater city inside a dome can be seen. Mutants from miles can see the wall split open its gate. Thousands gather armed with weapons. They point at the city, now easily reachable in the shallow lake that remains.
The intense shaking from the floodgates makes the laboratory unstable. You try to escape, but the walls crumble around you. You sit helpless as the lab goes dark.
(if: $dog is 1)["Why ya do that?" The stranger remarks, shaking his head. "Ya get what ya had comin."
He holds his dog affectionately.]

Thank you for playing.

[[You wake up.->Flabbishem]] Your lab coat is covered in blood, yet you are unharmed, in fact you feel good. You remember nothing. You are in a lab, red emergency lights blink, an alarm is blaring.
[[Look around]] (if: $gun is 0)[
You’re cold and alone. The sun is hidden by clouds, a slight drizzle soaks your bloodstained mud-covered lab coat. You throw it away.

The city is closer than it looked last night, its built out from the huge wall, its tallest building doesn’t reach halfway up. What used to be a flourishing city with busy streets is now a rundown refugee camp. The ‘walls’ of the camp are old semi-trucks, shipping containers, dumpsters, and wood pallets.
A guard shouts something from a top the gate, his uniform masking everything except his eyes. The makeshift gate slides open, a woman approaches you, smiling. Her skin is slightly scarred, hair on half her head. Her red dress is pristine despite the wasteland she lives in.
“Welcome to camp Haven. You have found a safe place traveler, please come in.” Her voice is soft and welcoming.
Her teeth are eerily sharp.
[[Enter camp Haven]]
(if: $trust is 5)[[Limp into camp Haven]]Your get out of the bed and find yourself in a home. The wilderness outside the window suggests your still in the forest. It's not a house, rather a cottage. The fireplace flickers, the smell of food fills your nose. You feel safe and cozy.
“You from the inside the wall, aren’t ya?”
A man walks inside the door. At least, it looked like a man. His face scarred, an eye missing. His right, no left arm is in a sling, a chunk missing. He has no hair, and his voice is loud, scratchy, and harsh. He carries a dead animal in right hand and clutches a knife in the left hand.

[[Shake your head to say no.]] “You must not talk much, suits me. Them talkers in the city get more annoyin the more they talk. I’m sure I do too. You’s a welcome to stay if ya like, tho with a face like that ya gonna bring trouble round any moment.”
[[Leave.]]
[[Give him a hug.]] You run up to the gate and desperately bang on it. It starts to fall over on you, you barely get out of the way before it flattens you.
Pushed off its track by the Helldog with two heads. Drawn by the commotion, it slowly struts into the camp. One head eyes you, the other scans the refugees.
A moment of silence, all eyes on the monster. It growls.
It leaps at the refugees, the crowd scatters, screams of terror fill the air. Some refugees light torches, as the Helldog eats its first victim. One head scans for the next target, as the other tears a mutant apart.
[[Exit out the gate.]]You are tied down.
You can here chant-like whispers around you.
An intense pain comes from you right leg.
[[Get up]] Thunder wakes you, the rain has soaked you, the world is icy cold.
Yet You feel fine.
[[Look around->Finale]] You feel starved and thirsty.
The pain is unbearable.
You try to the get out of bed. A sharp pain shoots through your leg. The serum has brought back your scars, your wounds open as your cells degrade.
You are too weak to breathe.
“It appears he needs another dose.” A voice says.
“There is none left. The production line is busy.” Another confirms.
“Too bad.”

The robots you’re laboratory produced are killing without prejudice, both human and meta-human. You have been sentenced to death.”
