One Eye Open by Colin Sandel and Carolyn VanEseltine

Had you known the bloody history of Corona Labs, you would never have signed up as a test subject. But now, plunged into that history, surrounded by the damned and the dying, you must find the truth. Perhaps you will even survive it.

This game is fantastic. It’s very weird too, so I find it thrilling. It’s even better when you don’t know anything about the game. Just stumble around and test everything you can. See what comes of it! I haven’t finished the game yet, I’m in the beginning. I’ve only found one minor discrepancy and I emailed the developers today. It was only a thing about wording for room 321 and 322, when you examine the signs for both of them one of the sign descriptions will switch the location of the room. 322 is supposed to be north, 321 is south, but it’ll say vice versa then switch back again on the other sign. It’s really no big deal especially when you find the map. I haven’t read the other comments for fear of spoilers…the one strange thing that happens in the beginning that I can’t find anything about anywhere online, is……………..

The NEXT PART IS A MINOR SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER !!!!!!!ALERT!!!!!!!

In the beginning when you leave the test chamber and go past the antechamber into the hallway to the west, when you attempt the go into the hallway your stopped, by some weird sense or physical ailment, then immediately when if you check your inventory you’ll notice the picture and folder from the test chamber are gone. Also the test chamber won’t open now. It’s so weird. I have a possible theory, but I’m not going to say. I don’t want to spoil it for those that haven’t played yet and decided to read my little spoiler.

Even though the next step was oftentimes quite far from obvious, the nice plot and the genuine clues (HINT) compensated for it. I agree with those before me: EXITS comes in handy as descriptions do not always mention them.

A game of genuine quality.

So much to like: The nightmarish mood, the attention to detail in the writing about the settings and staff of the facility (past, present and future), the CONCENTRATE command....

Well worth a few hours of any horror fan's time.

Too complicated for me. I don't really know how I'm supposed to answer what I see on the card Dr. Ephart is holding up when all I can do is "concentrate" on it.

Finally a game where I can literally explore everything. this made me look in places other games taught me were stupid and I love the chilling detail. I haven't finished but I love it so much man.

Give my 100% seal of approval for this masterpiece! Great storyline if you look deep enough and are a good searcher in text based games!

This game is very imaginative and suspenseful. Even though there is gore, it's not the main sense of unease and is more there to help steer you in the right path. The plot and writing are well thought out and I appreciate how much effort that must have been put into creating this.

A great game with lots to explore, great twists and turns, and a wonderfully spooky environment for play. If you haven't played it before, give it a whirl. It isn't quite like any other IF I've ever played. Scary, but not too nasty- like all good horror, it relies on suspense as opposed to pointless gore.

I really loved this game! There's so much going on and while it was tricky to begin with, once I paid attention and saw I could List Verbs and even get Hints if I got really stuck it was great! Especially because this is one of the first text adventures I've played in a couple decades so I was really rusty on how to play them. A fantastic game and one that makes you keep thinking afterwards.
