Hi all, I am new to Quest and was wondering if it would be possible to use Quest to create a game based on the sport of team roping? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Anything is possible. How long it might take is a different question. Have you tried to build some simple games yet? This will let you know if you like using Quest or if you should be looking at something else. As I have never heard of team roping, I have no further advice.
I think I've seen this question before; the conversation went into more depth about the kind of mechanics you might use after a few replies, so it might be worth searching for it.
Unless, of course, you're a spambot reposting an old topic.
It comes down to what you are trying to do - i.e. how will your game run.
If you are exploring an area, trying to pick up inventory and solve a mystery or whatever, then Quest would be the way to do. It's very much like those old Adventure games.
However, if you are trying to make a more flow-through storyline, you might check Squiffy.
Personally, I prefer squiffy. I don't need a lot of things Quest offers and I've come up with detailed, randomized games with it. But everyone has their favorite.
