Street RPG

PRE-ALPHA RELEASE

This is my first game to be released with Quest. It is an RPG-type game that can be said to be in early access. I wanted to publish it early in the development, so I could take feedbacks and ideas that could make this game better into consideration early on and shape the game better with help of those.

Currently; this game has these features in:

  • Sleep and exercise
  • Work
  • Hunger system (you have to buy, cook and eat food)
  • Basic conversations
  • Day/night cycle
  • Additional actions (playing basketball, etc.)

ALPHA DEVELOPMENT UPDATE

Added some features like:

  • A second street
  • Buying ammo
  • Ability to smoke cigarette and drink beer

Since there's a second street, the map will get bigger with more places and more shops.


ALPHA DEVELOPMENT UPDATE 2

Added some features like:

  • A car
  • Library
  • Gang fights

Also done some fixes.


ALPHA DEVELOPMENT UPDATE 3

Added some features like:

  • Driving system (very basic)
  • "Where Am I" command to learn the place (just in case)
  • Buying a gun

Alpha version will probably be released after this post.

  • Ability to withdraw money from bank

UPDATE

I'm an intern this summer, so I can't really find a good amount of time to work on this game. Finally today I found some time, and once I'm off I'll start working on this game like I used to do again.


PRE-BETA DEVELOPMENT UPDATE

Another week of internship, another free time :D

Added some features like:

  • Rap battles
  • Rolling dices
  • Ability to upgrade car (not fully implemented as of now)

PRE-BETA (BETA 1) RELEASE

I released Pre-Beta version as Beta 1, with new features like:

  • Ambience sounds (incomplete)
  • New verbs and commands (some incomplete)
  • Some small fixes

Full game will probably be released after a Beta 2 update.


BETA (BETA 2) DEVELOPMENT UPDATE

I found some time this week to work on Beta (Beta 2) version.

I've added the ability to participate in street races, buy/sell some commodities and even upgrade them to make more money. I've added a few more characters to interact with, so you can have a bigger influence in your environment.

I plan to add some additional activities and characters. The game currently has six main territories, with a seventh under the way.


Wow! I barely can't wait to type commands for work, excercise, cook and play basketball!


BETA (BETA 2) DEVELOPMENT UPDATE

I've added some features that I want to keep surprise now :D Well, at least other than that you can commit burglaries around the town now.


BETA (BETA 2) DEVELOPMENT UPDATE

I've added an all-new way to end the game. You need to invest some time to it, though.


BETA (BETA 2) RELEASE

I just updated the game to BETA/BETA 2 version.

So far, the game might have one of largest landscapes for a Quest-developed text-adventure game, with over 25 rooms to visit. It also has over 30 specific verbs/commands for general gameplay. The environment is dynamic and changeable, but more features regarding that needs to be implied.

The finished version is most likely to come in September, and will likely to be released in more than just textadventures.co.uk. I'm confident in this game, and it might be one of best games developed in Quest (I actually fiddled with Quest a little bit back in the day, so me being familiar with it helped with development).

I'm also off of internship, so development might speed up until the final release comes out.
