How big should a game be?

onimike
Hello all, I have tried to ask different questions and get the opinions of the text gaming public to see no help or comments. So I'll keep it basic and just ask in your opinion how big should a survival crafting game be? What would you like to see in a game of this nature? How much would you want to explore? How many different species of animals would you like to see? These are just the bases of my questioning, if you feel like tapping into another subject feel free.

I'm not sure where you asked (perhaps I missed it?), but here is a somewhat related question with some answers on intfiction.org:

The basic idea (as I took it) is to build the game you want, and if you do it well, people will play it. Perhaps you're asking "what size makes a game good?" But I don't think there is a hard and fast answer for that. I would say: make the game as you would want to play it, make it so you enjoy it, and others will as well. There can't really be any other answer.
