Giving Away...

GameBoy
The Quest Centre website to anybody who wants it. It's all HTML, so can easily be put on a free website server.

The reason I don't want it is because I don't think I'll have enough time to work on it. I'm spending as much of my free time as possible to learn programming in different languages, web design/development, and running a small business. So I'm getting rid of anything that I don't have time for anymore.

Post here or PM me if you're interested in mantaining the Quest Centre website. It's basically a website dedicated to providing tutorials and scripts for Quest games, and other little resources people may find useful.

Currently over at http://www.chronicalgames.com/quest

ME ME ME!!! Please, but can you still host it? I have no servers or money to pay for one... I would love to have the quest centre though, and I would make it good! Lots of tutorials... yes, lots....

GameBoy
I will only host it if you promise to work on it. I'm trying to keep my webservers free at the moment. If you want a forum though you'll have to find your own hosting.

Elexxorine
I will work on it, most of my expertise is in ASL and multiplayer programming, though I can try to relearn QDK cos I have kinda forgotten where all the little menus are. Lolz, but yes I will work on it. For a forum one can be hosted on http://www.invisionfree.com and just have a link to it on the web site.

GameBoy
work on some tutorials. If you can make 10 each for ASL and QDK, the website is yours.

Elexxorine
Does it count if they're 10 tutorials in both ASL and QDK? And sure, I'll start on them soon.

Hey Lexx, cool you're picking it up. Please direct the tutorials to the complete beginner. Keep them simple, then gradually build up the difficulty level. Remember: you have more knowledge than they will, so you have to think from their perspective. I'll be contemplating a tutorial to add....

Elexxorine
Hey thanks man, but yeah I was going to start with on how to add all the different elements, and how to use them, and was thinknig of actually not seperating ASL from QDK but putting the methods for both together... It makes more sense in my head that way. I've forgotten practically everything in QDK so they WILL go step by step, but for ASL I may asume they have some programming knowledge at least from QDK. I'm also planning a big section on making big rpg's, and may be turning hAvenHold into an online rpg library at some point (once it's finished)... But it's not going to be a library in the normal sense, but something you build your game around... If you understand me?

I'm currently building a game that samples many of the different functions of ASL, such as timers, flags, pauses, sound, graphics, etc. It would be really great if I could supply you with snippets of my code to be used.
