Yes, I'm shorter than almost everyone! I'm no longer a cheerleader tho. I'm in a pre-nursing program at school and work part-time at the hospital on the cardiac floor. I'll get my CNA certification after I graduate and then will work toward my LPN and even want to earn an RN designation. We have two newer specialties I'm considering and both carry script-writing privileges: PA/Physician Assistant or NP/Nurse Practitioner.

First off, I don’t think he’ll ever finish it (you'll probably remember him claiming he was going to win the IFComp 2006 with it, yet after making a big song and dance about it he never even entered); second, he’s a troll and people don’t tend to be very bothered with troll games; third, he’s an idiot. I’d believe Jade Goody likes coloured people before I believe Sycophant has it in him to write a good game. Fourth, he’s gone on at length about what a ‘masterpiece’ his game is to such a degree that even a decent game writer would be hard pressed to live up to that kind of bragging. And if Sycophant’s game writing is anything like his forum posts, his game is liable to be the biggest stinker ever written.

Probably a moot point anyway. I strongly suspect that soon we’ll hear from him that either a) the game won’t be released because he unfortunately suffered a hard drive failure (never heard that one before…) or b) he mysteriously disappears.

The funny thing is I used that excuse once and it WAS true. I replaced it with a 200gb SATA, but that was stolen along with the rest of everything else.

CC, whatever happened to your game about shoez? I thought that sounded kinda different and I had no idea where you were going with it... did the laces come untied or was your soul/sole worn down?

DavidW, which of your games are you most proud of, and why? I tried one of them you have posted on Wikipedia (something like: The Princess, Bear, and Bunny... I forget the name so don't get upset that I mauled it) but it didn't appeal to me. Can you suggest one.

I've contemplated installing animation into my Quest game, but using JASC Animation makes files too large in GIF format. I'd be new to any other programs and want small file sizes, and a rather cheap program too... any suggestions?

Me: pron. The objective case of "I," used as a direct or indirect object.

Because DavidW states himself within a group, he directs himself objectively; therefore, "me" becomes the correct word to use... say it the other way around...

I and everybody else? or... Me and everybody else? I think you're hung up on the rhyming "will be" that makes "me" sound quirky in the sentence.

Actually, in this situation Freak would be correct and the proper grammatical phrasing would be "Everybody else and I." Trust me on this one - the English language is my top "specialty." Although, if we want to be fair my grammar is not perfect, and neither is Freak's (note his frequently incorrect usage of the semi-colon).

Still in much disagreement (since I posted definition); although, it's hard to provide correct grammar to a phrasal form that's incorrect to begin with...

Everybody else and (I or me) is much clearer as "us" or "we." "Else" excludes the "other party," so why would you include "yourself." But if the speaker is trying to exclude a single person or group, which the speaker and everyone else is not a part of, then "Everyone besides (him, her, them)" is much more agreeable.

That's very true. The original phrasing was improper. I'll go into some more detail later as to why 'me' would be grammatically incorrect, however. English grammar can be quite complex.

My opinion: any game I write in Quest will be better then anything davidw is coming up with. If I'm correct, I think he's only managed to slag on people in here...and refuses to write Quest games.

For those interested.... My game is about survival. The player is thrust into this whole new world. The player is constantly trying to find out more about his/her identity and what happened. The choices made in the game lead the character thru different serious of events.

Hint about the game: a serial killer is tracking/taunting the player. It's thru choices the player 'happens apon different grizzly scenes' the player must put puzzle pieces together to escape and find out the conclusion to the game(yet to be written).

I just keep coming up with new brilliant ideas and can't seem to stop the game.

On a related note, I would have something else but now I can't think what it was.

Just wanted to stop by and give another update. I'm leaving again but only for a couple days to look at some colleges with my dad and his wife. Arizona University wants me to attend there! It's a long drive for us from here, so we are going to turn it into a mini-vacation.

Where does everyone here get their schooling? It seems most of you are from London or nearby. Here, we finish our nine years of required schooling then have to privately pay for any higher education. State schools are cheaper than private colleges. I'll stay in a dorm room, all by myself! If anyone ones to come visit me when I move to Arizona, let me know!

It's that thing I wish I was back doing.. Able to just be around my friends.

I'm in Portsmouth - which is around the middle of the bottom coast of Britain/England.. We get 11 years required (5-16) then a couple of college years for free, and University we have to pay for (dearly.. and preferably in blood).

Here in Canada we have 12 years of school, of which I finished, and after that either college or university, both of which are insanely expensive ($5000-$20,000 a year for 2+ years). I'm planning on going to the nearby college NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, in Edmonton) for computer science soon.

I passed one year of First Diploma Music college, dropped out of a National Diploma Media course, and a National Diploma Music course.

Now I'm just wasting my life away so that in 5 years time i'll start regreting it for the rest of my life.

That's what I've been doing! These last couple years I've accomplished little, and I think I need a change. That's why I'm moving to Edmonton in a couple weeks, and should have an actual internet connection within a month.
