Dance Music Creation

GameBoy
As most of you know I produce my own rock material, and the occasional ballad here and there. I've been really eager to produce some dance music lately but can't find the right software.

It would be great if anybody could recommend me some software, and maybe share some loops and sounds. I don't have the ability to use VSTi so it would have to be loop-based software.

the demo version of FL Studio would set you up right away to create some pretty good dance music. rawr. i use that software a lot for most of my sequencing, albeit i do use lots of extra plugins. but the stock sounds would keep you busy. you can't save your file you are working on, but you can export things to wave or mp3, so you could make your own loops, and then send them to whatever layout program you are using.

i created almost all of this song using Fruity Loops studio. with the exception of my vocals and michelle's vocals. but even some of the stuttering on her voice could be done in FL too.

Hey Gameboy,

Thought you might be interested in hearing some rock-based trance music. Check out Zeriox on myspace.com . I just found it last night. The composer (Kovacz is his last name) probably can recommend some software too.

Me and my mate rob were thinking about doing some sort of rock-based trance music. I have Reason, but I'll have to read the manual to see how it works. Looking at it, it doesn't seem to be loop-based in terms of using looped wavs, but you can program your own patterns it seems.

I'll give Fruity Loops a try, see what it's like.

I would also recommend FL Studio having used it in the past.
It can be a bit hard to use at first, but once you find your way around, it's pretty easy

I don't know about dance music creation, but here's a link to a big list of windows/linux/probably cross-platform proggies for audio stuff:

Just thought it could help out.

Tried downloading the full version of FL 6 but the key didn't work. Gunna try another. The demo seemed good though.
