Is this software completely midi based? it has some awesome samples on there, but I don't have any hardware to connect my PC.
Lyte is probably more experienced in this area. I have a PSR-340, which has midi in/out. What hardware do I need to be able to connect it to reason?

It's not all midi based. You can make tracks in reason without having keys. Infact, I'm 100% certain that it's more oriented with sound than midi. the keyboard acts as a controller. You play the keys, instead of having to tediously handpick where you want to put the notes.
I used to mess around with reason, but sense I got my Korg Triton, I got Ableton Live.

I used to use a Korg Triton LE, it's ok for some of the sounds, but I like to use East West Quantum Leap stuff now for orchestra stuff. I'll be purchasing some more products from them when I have the money to do so.
