QDK Pro and custom builds

codingmasters
I am thinking of purchasing QDK Pro, but I would like to know if QDK has any features the trial version of QDK doesn't have (apart from the ability to compile your games to CAS).

Also, do you need QDK Pro to be able to buy a custom build?

Alex
No

and

Yes (but you can buy it at the same time if you don't have it already)

codingmasters
If the only new feature in QDK Pro is the QCompile, than i'm happy with the trial version.

Alex
You are only allowed to use the trial version for 30 days. After that, you must buy it. QDK is not free software.

codingmasters
Alex, I'm suprised. Nothing happens after 30 days, except for the fact that it takes 15 seconds to open, not 3. You wrote it!

I think Im Dead
I think in the old forums someone mentioned it can take upwards of 60 seconds to load at some point, but I don't use QDK so I wouldn't know.

codingmasters
It might happen on slow computers but not onmine

The timer you nitwit.

GameBoy
LMAO, is this guy for real?

paul_one
hehehe - yeah, it was 60 seconds at one point. Seems it's changed back to 15.

codingmasters
Ste, what is up with you? You can't stop me from posting, so seriously, grow up. And looks like it is 15 seconds.

Matthew G.

paul_one
It does seem like it's 15 second's huh!

codingmasters
It is because when I had Quest 3.11 (I checked back here like less then two weeks ago for the first time in over a year) the time expired and itwas 15 seconds

I think back with 3 or something it had 1 minute though.

Cryophile
Actually, in one version I had 90+ seconds. I don't really use QDK though. It's easier to handcode.

Calix
qdk is very expensive, and also you can t change all things...like if u want to traslate the same game to anoter languaje...T_T still incomplete

Yes, it was definitely worth bumping a 4 year old thread to say that.
