Hey everybody. Me and TNO decided to leave ASL, and just use good old VB to make a game, and so we did.

only for a while. When the telnet stuff is done, i'll probably concider doing my side-project in ASL. I'm doing one in VB, but i know ASL more than i know VB, so it would be easier.

Haven't finished the main site yet. concentrating more on the game itself. But i've taken a break from the game this weekend and the site should be working asap. The BETA version won't be out until Feb 1st as we havent finished the systems yet. Few bugs atm, as expected, and we will try to release it with hardly any bugs if we can.

Maps will need to be re-done, graphics are all there, and if anybody wants to contribute to character sprites, you can submit them on the FA forum.

uhhh, what's the link for the forums? I can't seem to find them.

Alot has changed since i last posted.

The game is now called Feudal Ages, as too many games are using Something Online, and it just got boring.

We decided to rebuild alot of the systems as we, as well as alot of players, encountered a few bugs which required systems to be rebuilt completely. Old screenshots of the game are currently on the website, but new ones will be placed once i redesign the GUI.

The first big implementation ill be looking to put in will be a character generator allowing you to choose a gender, sprite, name, pass.

For map development, ill be doing a tutorial section where you walk around a map talking to NPCs which will giude you through the tutorial teaching you about the basics of fighting and how to play the game. You will then choose a realm/city to live in.

Features will include:

Tribes
basic fighting system
bank system
Sparing arenas
path selection (at level 5)
quests
player houses

Now, ill go into a little bit about player houses. These are similar to tribe houses, except with player houses, you cannot build on it. You simply buy a houses will a certain number of rooms, and you can start up a family, buy a horse maybe, have parties at your houses (medieval style parties of course). Tribe houses will be extendable, so you can add certain rooms to your house like kitchens, sparing arenas, tribe banks etc etc.

Alot of the better features have been planned for a later version of the game. we just want basic stuff in for now.

meh, this is old, me and moonripper have almost finished doing our 2D game, will be similar to Feudal Ages, but it's called After Darkness and it's 2D. Almost ready though!

Ste, just wondering, but when exactly will you be releasing one of these games? Iwas reading back a bit on the posts and have seen that you've been going on about these games based around the medieval times and darkness and stuff like that, but nothing seems to be released yet.

notmy fault really, as i can't code i have to get people to help. My past games were based on ASL, but seeing as it's limited, i moved to VB6. Me and TNO were making a game called Feudal Online (name changed several times), but he had personal issues to deal with, thats why it stopped. But After Darkness is ready for release, but i want to get tons more maps done first. Plus the main server is down for a week due to mother board problems, but this WILL be released, it just takes time to make a game, and get it perfect for a release.
