I am a complete Noob at text adventure games. I like the idea and I've just started playing The Mansion. HBut I guess because I don't knw many commands how do I get up the staircase? I've tried Use Staircase, Go Staircase, Go to Staircase etc. but can't actually go upstairs, there doesn't seem to be anything else I can do downstairs at the moment...

I think if you look at the staircase, a menu appears asking if you want to go up.

I think you're right but every time I do an action which should produce a menu the page goes blueish and blank, then freezes. no menu or other text appears. Can anyone tell me why this is and how I can fix it?
