Ste's Loan Calculator

GameBoy
I have been learning VB, and the first thing i learnt was how to make a loan calculator. Here is v1.0 of Loan Calculator:

http://www.chronicalgames.com/files/pro ... lc%201.exe

GameBoy
Extended my knowledge and added an MDI for multiple loan calculations :)

V2.0 is here:
http://www.chronicalgames.com/files/pro ... lc%202.exe

GameBoy
Added window viewing and tile/cascade support

V2.1 is here:
http://www.chronicalgames.com/files/pro ... c%2021.exe

GameBoy
v3.0 is released!!!

This will probably be the final version of my Loan Calculator. I've added a version history window so you can check out the changed i've made to the program.

Please report any bugs here, and you can test out the final version here:

GameBoy
P.S. I did this while drunk :)

I'm sure you do, but come on ITID atleast have a serious and mature conversation with me for once. What do you think of the program? :)

Update

Small revision made to v3.0

Check Version History for details. Download Here:

I think you should edit your initial post instead of replying to yourself a million times in a desperate effort to prove that "Post Count does indeed = Penis size".

I haven't tried your stupid loan calculator because I'm sure it's the exact same loan calculator that's source was posted on whatever tutorial site you stumbled upon. I thought you didn't do coding.

As for a mature conversation.

The very first version of the Loan Calc was taken from a book, but as a beginning programmer i decided to extend the knowledge i have learnt, and extend the program into something bigger and better, coding my OWN ideas by hand.

As for not doing coding, this is the result of being bored and opening a VB book ;)

New Release

I'm hoping this will be the final release lol. I don't possibly see how i could add another update, apart from bug fixes and minor revisions.

Anyway, this release features not only a ranged calculator, but the original non-ranged calculator from v1.0 (with minor changes)

Check the version history for other updates.

Download here:

Version 3.2 also features commented code lol

I don't need one of those. That sort of thing came on a CD that I got with a VB Beginners book when I started learning. Anybody can do that. We certainly don't need half a dozen posts in 1 1/2 hours on updates. As ITID said, just edit your original post. I'm not even gonna waste my bandwidth on such a program when I've already got it!

how the fuck have you 'already got it' when i've change the whole damn application. v1.0 is from the book yes, but 3.2 contains much more.

believe it or not, i added the range code WITHOUT any tutorials or guides or help.

It's funny, when you want help with VB, everybody has to come running to your help, but when i complete an application, and extend it greatly with my new knowledge, people say "yeah that sucks, i can do that, im so uber 1337, yeah"

007, you're always fucking asking for help on these forums about how to do this and that in VB. you're a dumb shit, i did all my coding without any help what so ever, except from a few guides in the book... no NOT tutorials, GUIDES. fucking losers

Good job you pointed that out. No one would ever have guessed.

Ste you need anger management.

And besides, that's not the way it is. I'm asking for help. You've submitted a program which is basic. You may not of done everything after v1 without help, but who gives a damn? I certainly don't, and I'm sure everyone here doesn't. I wrote MPlayer from v1, which was very basic, but I didn't need any help. I just went along and discovered things as I went.

Do I get some source code examples?

That'd be worthwhile... I might get to download it later... I never got into the whole MDI thingy.

And although the multiple posting thingy was a mistake - I'm sure this program is well and good... As long as the source code is written nicely and the result has expanded your knowledge then fine.

Oh, and you may wish to just add these types of programs to a list, and maybe just add something to your sig to say what's going on.

Thanks CW. Yes multi-posting was a bad idea. Since nobody else here 'gives a damn' about something i have acheived, you can get me on MSN (should be in my profile, if not, [email protected]) and i will send you it.

My code is very neat as i made good use of comments and indents. MDI isn't really that useful unless you're making word processors or graphics programs, but i thought it would be good to experiment with it.

007Bond, i think you might be right. God help me when i have kids, hopefully they'll be more grown up than you though, silly little boy.
