Downloaded Games?

Ok, my first poll. I'm just curious how many of you think it would be a nice addition to the game archive to show the amount of times a game has been downloaded.
If anyone has been to sites where you can download different types of software, you are familiar with the column for that. Honestly, good or bad review, regardless...I personally sometimes sway towards a file that has been downloaded more times. I know there are a few of you who feel differently but as I said, I'm just curious about the rest of you.

Here is an "and/or" comment. What are your thoughts on sorting the games based on the most recent comment/review date?

To be honest, I'm not sure I see the point. The amount of times a game has been downloaded doesn't make the game either good or bad. I suppose it might be worth it for pure interest value but I don't see it having any real effect.

After all, a game that's been downloaded 50 times isn't necessarily any better than one that's been downloaded twice.

Yes, that's pretty much what you had said before when I posted a similar comment when it wasn't actually a poll.
You were who I was referring to above when I said,

I know there are a few of you who feel differently but as I said, I'm just curious about the rest of you.

In response to "pure interest value"...yes, that's a good reason for me.

GameBoy
it will show the author how many hits their game has. simple.

Exactly. Maybe what the site needs is an author login thing (like Winsite), which lets them see how many times their program has been downloaded, how many times the infocard has been viewed, when they uploaded it, etc. Of course Quest might not need everything, but you get my drift.

I'm glad I'm not the only one!!
