This is a sprite i did, which resembles myself. It uses the Muddling Sprite template which J05h drew, but if i get time i'll probably make it into a proper sprite sheet for use on the game
Added my hair
Added drum sticks (since i play drums)
Was gunna add a guitar, but i'm not that good at spriting yet
And the front of a building i did. I made this so i could practice textures.
Ok, i've started out making this computer desk. Now I know the perspective is a little wrong, but i'm fixing that up next.
UPDATE:
UPDATE 2:
UPDATE 3: (maybe final update) - Added a chair, it sucks, but this is the 3rd pixel thing i've ever done lol.

Excuse me for being unknowledgeable in this field, but what is pixel art? And how can I make it? Do I need a certain program? Also, is it hard?
All you need is MS Paint. Pixels are the little coloured squares you see when you zoom into an image, everything is made up of pixels. For example: =

do the phrases "800 by 600" and "1024 by 768" remind you of anything? It's actually how many pixels fit on the screen. By increasing that size, your windows become larger and more fits into them. If you go to the Castle of Doom website (see my sig), and click on Other Info, you'll see a whole heap of pictures of weapons and such. All those weapons were drawn in Paint, and they aren't that bad. It just proves that Paint actually ain't all that bad, at least when you've got someone that knows how do draw stuff like shadows properly.

Thanks for the link, zelimos..I'll check it out. I know what pixels are, it's just that I wasn't sure what pixel art was. If you made those in paint, then how do they look so good? I can make ok looking things in paint, but those look professional. Also, how did you animate them? With a GIF program? I have a free GIF program, but it's ridiculously annoying to use.

You can also use The Gimp http://www.gimp.org/ for making pixel art. It deals with animation too, and supports layer (can be useful too)

Actually Ste seem's to have a talent in this area - and it may even suit Quest's style to have such mini-picture's in the games.

congratulation STE, you're a king of isometric pixel art
for my part I feel better to use it rather for 2D :
here are a few examples

i can only really do cartoon though. I'm not really any good at dithering and crap like that. I was hoping to make something similar to Habbo Hotel, only with an application instead of flash, probably using Visual Basic or C++. Unfortunately I don't have the skills in the programming area, but if anybody is looking to do something that like I wouldn't mind pixeling for them.

Download the MS DirectX 9.0 SDK it comes with all kinds of examples for directdraw and directplay, wouldn't be that hard.

I know that there's probably no chance of this happening, but Zelimos, your timing couldn't of been better. I'm just starting a game with a couple of friends and we need someone to do artwork. I've finally found the right team of people and the right program (Game Maker) to do the job. Unfortunately we don't have anyone to do artwork, and would love anyone who can to come aboard and work on it.

Yeah. All graphics included. Basically we need enemies, bosses, maps, and any other conceivable thing in an adventure game, like bookcases, castles, mountains, walls, and other types of scenery. We don't need you to do armour and weaponry, the guy I'm working with wants to do that. If you want to get a copy of Game Maker so you can see what we're going to be working with, go to google, type in Game Maker, and click I'm Feeling Lucky. That'll take you to the Game Maker website (the URL is too hard to remember). If you want a site which has some great demos on how to use Game Maker, go to http://www.shawn64.com.
